Credit where credit is due Abby didnt do a great deal of anything other than use a fork on people and do colour like a guy and was still a big draw. Id imagine that he was pretty hard to work with.

I have herd people say a lot of good things about him just not from my dad.
He was sitting in the Lobby of a Hotel in Japan playing cards with Tiger Conway Jr. and Rocky Johnson. When my dad and Dick Slater walked by Abby told them "you gotta watch Kox he doesn't like us blacks."  Not true cause my dad is great friends with Rocky and Tiger especially.  I won't repeat what my dad says he told Abby.

My old man and Tiger Conway broke the color barrier in a few sates. Blacks and whits were not allowed to wrestle each other for a while.

I heard that Rocky Johnson didnt like black people...think Tony Atlas mentioned it in his shoot interview and said he hated tagging with him.

I couldnt find that segment of the shoot but whilst looking I found the part where Atlas talks about Bruiser Brodys death which is interesting and harrowing stuff.

Boy, I never saw anyone juice their forehead with a blade as much as Rhodes. Every wresting magazine used to have a bloody face pic of Rhodes.

When you see him now, it really shows. His whole forehead is all creased up looking.

There are some good second generation start though.
Larry Henning / Kurt Henning
Bob Orton / Bob Orton Jr./ Randy Orton
Mike Dibiase / Ted Debiase / Ted Debiase Jr.
Dusty Rhodes / Dustin / Cody
Carlos Calon / Carlito and his other brother

I think your right.  Greg valentine is as stiff as a bord.   He was not near as good as his old man.

I have seen that before .  Good stuff. My dad helped train Jimmy garvin they were tag partners for a short time when my dad was baby face .    Also Dick Murdoch was my god father.  He was one of the funniest people of have known.  I really miss him
Murdoch was a big time partier and drinker right?

Yes. very much so.   Sometimes him and my dad would be gone for weeks at a time, when they would get back in to town he would borrow my dads car and not tell his wife he was back. That way he could go partty all night.   That the reason why he had 4 successful marriages LOL.

Sometimes they would be late to the airport cause my old man could not get him out of bed. Dickie would just grab his wrestling bag and wear my dads cloths the who trip cause he did not pack or anything.

Another funny story about Fritz the last time we saw him me my old man Terry Funk and a Japanese reporter all went out to Fritz's house for the day.  We ended up at some whata burger and my dad Terry and Fritz were all arguing over who was gonna pay the bill.  Some how Fritz won and paid.   Later I think we some how found out that Fritz owned the Whataburger or some shit.
I have pics from that day I will try to find them.

here's some pics from that day.  My dad is sorta cut out of the one. I probably took it
