You old bastard, no one up here wants to hear about the good old days because the majority of us are not old enough to have "good old days"

Seriously why does your stories start off like this, whether its 1959, Larry Scott, John Grimek, etc???  You realize that this stuff needs to be placed on ironage or something.

vince goodrum is so ugly,he looks out the window and gets arrested

Haha.  Ok, I admit I don't know much Young on his own.  I heard his new one on the radio the other day (he's in Aus, I think) and I've been itching to burn him at the stake ever since.  But I digress.

Hit me with a couple titles and I'll look into it.  Open mind, promise.  Anything to avoid having to re-examine the intricacies of the Code Duello 1777.
Hmm. Dude's in the R&R HOF 3x, so there must be something there, I figure. I'll just give you a heads-up on his solo stuff (although it would be criminal not to look up the Buffalo Springfield & CSNY stuff). Rust Never Sleeps is hard, edgy stuff. The Weld set has some hard, excellent live stuff, too, like the long version of Rockin' in the Free World. If you want the best of his early stuff, hit up Tonight's the Night, Everybody Knows this is Nowhere, On the Beach and After the Goldrush. If you want the crash course, grab the Decade set, but you'll be missing stuff.

/glad we avoided the duel, bro. i'm a little rusty with my pacing and turning. probably put a musket ball in my foot.

In January 1959 I vowed to build myself up so that no one would ever bully me. I started lifting weights in a neighbour's basement and didn't train in a gym for many years because there weren't any in Kamloops in those days. To this day I have never been in a fight as an adult. People leave musclemen alone. Even those carrying a bit of safety fat! The trick is to have a sense of humour and know when to back off.

In those days there were no internet goatboys around to deal with. I can't believe the years have gone just like that. The good thing is that the muscles still respond to training and keep growing at any age. You will eventually learn how to train effectively and efficiently. What is lacking is the motivation to want to stay big. That takes a special brain and dedication. Good luck to anyone who is committed to this sport. When you get older you will find that the body tends to fall apart little by little. You will need to wear glasses at about 50 to read small print. Your hair thins and you start getting lines of character. If you keep your muscles growing you will keep looking young. Other than choosing the right parents, you will have to wait and see what your fate is.

I doubt many of you will still be on Getbig when you are 66. Remember one thing, these are still the good old days! Some of you will have gone through 1000 gimmick accounts by then!

so how was Victors dads funeral?

Most of you guys have a funny way of congratulating someone for being in the Iron Game for half a century.

Nice to hear from my mate Melvin. Chick is still sore because I point out that he is a stooge and patsy for the power men who run bodybuilding.

Still trolling the boards trying to find out info on Vinces G's boyfriend? You're the king of schmoes my friend. Go pedo around the beach in your speedo.

The A-Team has little patience for attention whore, schmoes such as yourself.

Are the mods allowed to have gimmick accounts here? That is the only explanation for so many nasty unknowns here.

No gimmick account here you schmoe.

If you want better responses than stop stalking Vince and his bf around here as your schmoefull antics are getting tiresome.

Why in the world would you still be concerned about trying to be muscular and if board members have gimmick accounts.  At your age you should be planning retirement, golfing, fishing, driving a corvette, vacationing in Boca and spending time with your grandkids etc.  Not starting internet battles with high school kids.

i thought he was pulling the Steelers Wheel / Bob Dylan thing, but i guess not.

In high school, i was often asked if my fashion sense was inspired by the great fashion icon that was Neil Young.

What's with all these attacks from the Schmoe Patrol?

Most of you guys are putting pressure on those who actually date sheilas. They have to look after your girls as well as their own.

What perspective? This is highschool playground behaviour. First a guy is old. If he doesn't react then he must be gay. If that doesn't do it play the pedo card. What a bunch of losers.

We started lifting weights to make sure no one bullied us and I have never been bullied. The internet is pathetic when so many hide behind crap names and use gimmick accounts.

Dr Chimps, indeed.

Ron boasts that he has the best forum on the internet. What a sordid cesspool this place is. Yeah, it is so much fun. Whahoo!

No one has called me a queer or old except on the internet and by assholes who are annonymous. Join the flotsam, Power Rod. How is it possible for so many dickheads to assemble on one internet forum?

I am going nowhere. Someone has to keep stooges like Goodrum and Chick honest.

C'mon, Vince. You tell us repeatedly that you can have a laugh and mix it up with the best of them, but *sigh* time and time again you show us that your sense of humour is limited. You just come off as tired, pedantic and bitter. Maybe this is not the forum for you?  :-\
