Why race is so important....
The founding fathers of this nation were all white men.  They wrote and lived by the constitution of the United States Of America.

50 years ago, a black person couldn't get served in restaurants, had seperate drinking fountains, were made to ride in the back of the bus.
There are people alive today and were guests at the inauguration who went thru all forms of discrimination. So, when you see how far we have come as an American people who are finding that color of the skin is  not an reason to aspire to the highest office in the land.

Today a black man was voted for and swore an oath in a place where not too long ago, the only way into that bastion of power was thru the backdoor.

This really is a great country.

How about celebrating his policy and agenda, what he has planned, his voting record, his life in politics,...? Theres more to a person, a hell of a lot more, than the color of their skin. I'm an american indian, cherokee. I'm not saying I'm in support of racism, just the opposite, we as people should be more 'grown up', more rational, more intelligent to look past something so childish as racism. But to keep on bringing up race, to keep on mentioning it, keeping it alive, is completely defeating the point.
