Interesting. I imagine it will be pretty popular. the key to a successful gym is to accomodate a wide range of people.

if people are too lazy to stay committed to 24fit...how the hell a chain of these gyms will make it past 1 yrs? how much money did the XFL lose? they'll be right up there with McMain.

Although Mark is one of the best guys to work for (smart operator, good delegator), I don't know if an MMA themed gym would work. Most folks don't want to train Boxing, BJJ, wrestling, muay thai. Looks great on TV, but the reality is you are constantly nursing niggling injuries, and the amount of body to body contact would turn off most of the general public. Not to mention Mark's former creation has become a juggernaut, then fallen on hard times financially, causing them to sell off Asian and European holdings, and even sell some clubs nationally. Tough to do it in this economy.

I think it would be a good idea right now since MMA is so popular is to think about opening some of these gyms and have people try out to get on your "team" and train their ass correctly. Well you would have several teams really and they would fight each other. Lotta money to be made. Sorta like Independent wrestling circuits.
