Obama Tucked David Cameron Into Bed On Air Force One

PPresident Barack Obama appears to have a rather cuddly approach to foreign relations.   

British Prime Minister David Cameron recounted a story about Obama letting him borrow his bed while on the Air Force One.

"He said ‘David, why don’t you use my bed and put your feet up,'" Cameron said, according to the Daily Telegraph.

“So I duly did and Barack went to the back of the plane and explained to my private secretary and the team...'Don’t worry, the British Prime Minister is fine, I’ve just tucked him up in bed.'"

Cameron was speaking at a public business awards ceremony, the Telegraph said. He said that the incident reminded him of other famous, random interactions between US and British leaders, Metro reported.

"We remember the story of Winston Churchill when he stayed in the White House and he was in the bath. [Franklin D] Roosevelt walked into the bathroom and Churchill stood up and said 'The British prime minister has nothing to hide from the president of the United States,'" Cameron said.

Cameron was the first foreign leader invited on the Air Force One by Obama, according to Metro.

A White House aide told The Asian Age that the two leaders also bonded at a basketball game. Cameron sat courtside with Obama as the president explained the rules.

Mr. Obama was standing with first lady Michelle Obama on Wednesday night at the White House when their guests of honor, British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha, arrived for the state dinner on the South Lawn.

As Mrs. Cameron stepped out of a town car, Mr. Obama commented, "very pretty."

Then he turned to his wife and said, "They look better than us."

The prime minister should understand that Barack Obama is no friend of Britain and never will be. And nor is his Secretary of State, who has actively backed Argentina's calls for UN-brokered negotiations between London and Buenos Aires over the sovereignty of the islands.

The Obama presidency has beeen the most anti-British US administration of modern times. No amount of photo-ops at college basketball games, glamorous flights on Air Force One, or lavish state dinners stuffed full of Democrat fundraisers and donors will change that. To Mr Obama, the Prime Minister is little more than a convenient campaign prop: a compliant figure to roll out to the US media to give the impression he actually has friends on the world stage. It is time for David Cameron's reckless adulation of the Obama White House to come to an end.

President Obama doesn't believe in the Special Relationship, and this was clearly on display in Colombia. Britain's true friends in America are on the Right, not the Left. It is American conservatives who are the natural allies of Britain, not the big-government liberals currently occupying the White House,
