I know your trying to be funny. But i find that sad. Theres actual people out there with medical conditions (thus the need for prescriptions to get AAS) and here you are using the system to further your little dreams of yours. I feel sorry for the doctor. Apparnetly he is unethical and doesn't feel in any way obligated to be truthful in his practice, otherwise he wouldn't have given you the prescription. What else is that doctor untruthful about? I've been on the recieving end of an untruthful cancer diagnosis and these doctors shouldn't be in the business if they don't look at their practice as helping mankind instead of making money. Some people put their whole lives in doctors hands and certain people exploit the system. But hey, it's nice to see a 40 year old man laughing about it.

Weren't the first steroids ever produced for the sole reason of building muscle and enhancing Eastern block soldiers? (then Soviet/eastern block Olympic athletes)  Medical conditions were an after thought down the road...So to me, it sounds like Chick was taking them for the sole reason they were ever thought of...Minus the carrying a weapon and killing people Maybe you would be happy if Chick told his doctor that he needs them because he was going to join the service...

If you MUST know...I suffered from a rare case of "Iaintbigenoughitis"...and the good doctor was able to diagnose and treat the problem, thus curing me. Because I had an adverse reation to the drugs perscribed, I suddenly woke up one morning "all swolled up"...and a friend suggested I take up bodybuilding as long as these were the cards I was delt....

You sound like Bob is taking some kind of medicine that is limited in supply and which otherwise could have been used to cure some illness in deserving patients. Have you ever thought or considered the fact that the damn government has no right to tell you what you can and cannot consume or inject into your own body? Bet you are one of those people who drink without a second thought but scoff at people who smoke Pot or take drugs.

Bob was a grown up who made the choice of taking what he had to take, to compete in bodybuilding. And obviously, smart enough to get a prescription for it to cover the legal issue. Him taking steroids is no different than you drinking or one of your friends / family smoking - not good for your body, but something you do cause you want to live your life the way you do.

Don't be under the impression that just because something is approved or condoned by the government, it is automatically and surely good or bad for you. The only reason why Bob and others are 'exploiting' the system to get steroids is because the system is a load of BS in the first place.

As for people giving you a hard time for using steriods (whether from a doctor, or not), I really don't get what their problem is? I wonder if one of them could clearly articulate what exactly it is that they believe is wrong, immoral, etc with a person decising to using steriods to achieve a desired result?

Bodybuilding has a lot of jealously attached to it. Bob is copping it from within, in general bodybuilders can cop a lot from outside too. Has beens, never was, insecure fucks (especially the ones that think they are 'players'). People are shit.

Good point - I had not thought of that, but I think you are absolutely right. I many ways its probably no different to the catfights and insecurities etc that I suspect take place at female beauty pagents. I enjoy watching BBing as a sport, but myself compete as a weightlifter. What is great about weightlifting is that you are measured objectively, based on how much you can lift. As a whole, weightlifters tend to be really supportive of each other, and we respect the guys who train hard and who can lift the most etc. A subjective support, I suspect, creates a lot more bitteness from people who think they should have succeeded when they did not.
