I think were are heading for what Celente and Schiff have been saying.  They have been right to so far.

I also think ZERO is waging a war on middle class people and nothing will improve until he is gone.

You think middle class is 250k and above?   Your a dumbass.  ::)

I live in NY - 250k is not rich at all.  People at that income pay 50% taxes here.  So you have 125k to live on in the most expensive state where RE taxes are huge, as well as everything else.

Additionally, genius, higher energy taxes, interest on the stimulus debt, are all costs to the taxpayer at all wage levels.

In NYC alone we have 40,000 taxpayers who pay over 50% of the revenue.

If you think that targeting those people is smart, think again.

If those people move or simply refuse to pay in any more, the whole ponzi scheme collapses.

If you make around 250k then you are a success story.......not middle class.   Middle class is 50k-80k.    You'll get no sympathy for excuses as to cost of living from anyone.     Why dont you move and double your money from cost of living?

I feel everyone should pay the same percentage in taxes whether you make 20K or 250K.  But 250K is hardly middle class dude come on.

Fool, the tax increases hit people who net less than 250k who run a small business and file their taxes on a Schedule C.

Many of these businesses do report income of over 250k gross, but the net is less than that after taxes.

If you took ten minutes to educate yourself on taxes, you would realize that 250k of income is the same for a salaried employee as it is a small business that reports income on a Schedule C.

Plus, many businesses have their families where they are lcoated, client base, customers, projects etc.

250k is a good salary, but not rich.

Rich is people making over a million a year net taxes.

Let me ask you this:

In NYC - the average apartment is about 1 million dollars.

In Nassau and Westchester, the average tax bills for property are the highest in the nation, most well over 10k per year.

we also have a 9% state income tax surcharge on top of income tax which is 36%.

So, a guy at 250k is paying 45% income taxes, not including SS and RE taxes and lives in one of the most costly places in the nation.

Its a great salary, yes, but not rich.

That's absolutely true.  It's pretty simplistic to say $250K is the promised land, regardless of the family situation and cost of living.

These morons have no clue how things work in the real business world.

They think you get a 250k check deposited in your account.

250k is really 125K.  Is 125k rich??????

True.  And if you're a small business owner, 250k might be less than 125k, depending on overhead.

333386 is right guys, it's all about where you live.

You guys living in the south think 40K is big $$$, and it just might be there, but in California or NY 40K puts you at a poverty standard of living in most urban areas.

250K is NOT that much money in some places. Plus as he said, you lose half of it right out the gate.

I'm all for the majority of taxes being from sales taxes.., but the left seems to hate that.

I think this thread would be a great sticky.  Alot of guys here cant remember what they said a year ago.   Since this year could be an epic one in our history......put it in as a sticky and delete our unrelated subjects.

Then we can fight about all the quotes and say,   "What i meant was...."   8)

BTW  33333.   Ive had a corporation for 12yrs.  Im familiar with tax differences in business and personal.   Im also aware that my accountant is paid well to minimize my tax base quarterly.   And im aware of the tax cuts that GWB enacted 2x's only profited the upper class and NO TRICKLE DOWN HAPPENED AS IT WAS FUNNELED INTO OFFSHORE ACCOUNTS OR LAUNDERED in some other fake companies.

Not to be hysterical or anything. For some it will be okay and for others it will be absolute hell. More people will experience it thats all.

I can agree with Hugo here.
epic shitstorm.  depression.  masses starving around the world.  terror attacks in Canada, US and Mexico.  Strong movement toward North American Union.  escalated war on terror and possibly world war.  Massive increase in police state.  Most of the shit I've been saying all along.  Hope I'm totally wrong. I think we're headed toward these things at some point in the near future, next 1 to 8 years.  It can be changed but It doesn't look promising imo.

To add to it, our privacy and civil rights are going to be thrown out the window.

I don't know why, for some reason I think this whole situation is a good thing. People will be more responsible; financially, politically. People won't be so apathetic to their government and big business. It will be a struggle though. <--- Understatement.

I think there will be signs of recovery already by the end of the summer.

The stock markets will be going up during the fall, with unemployment still fairly high.

Then the next spring main street will start to recover.
