new singer for Zeppelin
« on: February 22, 2009, 10:17:21 PM »

The biggest problem is that Led Zeppelin played so many styles of Music. I will never say that Robert Plant is the greatest lead singer. But he grew with the band. Hard to replace him. Plant just won all these Grammys. He's not joining the Zep boys any time soon. But Page played with the Black Crows and it sounded wonderful. They played the cliche Zep tunes. But still good. The Black Crows smoke on Southern music. Add Jimmy and Jonh Paul Jones. Quick list. Poor Tom, Tea for one. South bound saurez, fool in the rain, how many more times, Darlene, In the light, All of my love, The girl I love. The Crunge. You shook me. Traveling riverside blues. The Rover. When the levee breaks. Hots on for nowhere. Close it with bring it on home. Listen to this if your a Zep fan. These guys sounded good.

Lead guitar Jimmy Page

Is that Dave Grohl?  Singing, he sounded OK.  Screaming he sounded subpar.  jmo.

Is he reading the words?

Although it would sound completely different, I think Chris Cornell would sound pretty cool on some Zeppelin songs. Definitely can hit better high notes than Dave Grohl.

I wish Alicia Keys would cover some Zeppelin tunes.
