The bill sunsetted in 2004, and it was open market to load up on rifles and high caps.
2009, obama may get his shitty bill.

In 2019, it will sunset, or it will be overturned on the campaign promises of a 2012 or 2016 candidate.

I was at the shooting range and the guy there said that guns sales have trippled since the election.  I'm glad i bought my ar-15 last year.  Looking to get a semi-auot 12 gauge though.  Mexico has had so many problems that the ban on assault weapons wouldn't do anything.  Mexico is corrupt as hell.  Prez needs to chill the fuck out and leave us alone with our guns.

i know many mex gangs have been stocking up with US arms, and that the MEX govt is in danger of actually falling to these modern day 'warlords'.  Yes, it's that bad there.  We sure can't afford to have a corrupt power take over down there.  We'll have millions of refugees flooding the borders, them exporting cocaine by the ton overseas, etc etc.

I can see the need to limit what is sold to ppl in Mex. I cannot see the need to limit what Americans can buy or own.
