Great song, but the Ugly Kid Joe version is sort of a joke...not that the man doesn't have talent, but that this is a song that would be sung by a much older man (like the original artist, Harry Chapin).  Reminds me of some of those ridiculous "true love" songs sung by teenyboppers.

Harry Chapin was from my home town. His son was my Lacrosse coach in middle school.

Did he share any stories about his dad, or was he too busy trying to mold you into a decent lacrosse player?

Jono Chapin. We used to have pool parties at his house. House on the LI sound. He never talked about his Dad. Would get pissed if anyone said anything. I was the first Defender in Huntington High School history to score a goal.
