It's called the shape of the pec muscle, see the above pics of Vic and Branch - they have the same "boxing glove" shape.

I'd say Phil's chest stacks up nicely against the other top contenders.  No way that alone should keep him from the title. He has as good a shot as anyone this year.

I don't know what you all thought of him at the Arnold but If he shows up like that at the O, he wins.

2nd is a coin toss between Heath, Dexter, and Vic.

As far as Jay Cutler goes, I really don't think even the new fad "FST-7" (an overrated training concept IMO) is going to save him but he'll probably make top 5 (though he probably won't deserve it, I think his physique is ugly, but the judges will place him high anyway)

Toney Freeman will probably get shafted a couple placings again

Dennis Wolfe is overrated...and Silvio is just too small to do too much damage but he'll place around 7...

...and Branch, my fav. BB will hopefully crack top 5

If Kai matches his Arnold conditioning he has a shot, although it will be difficult to duplicate that twice in a year.  I just really really hope Kai foregoes the headstand/pedaling pose - it makes me cringe!

I predict that Dexter will come in at his all time best and I think Phil will improve on last year's amazing showing.  Jay is too unpredictable, although I'd love to see him match his 06 form.  Wolf, of course, is the dark horse.

This year it is really too tough to call.  It's going to be the best Mr. O in a long time.

You're right...they do say that for promotion.  But seriously, when was the last time this many competitors had a legitimate shot at the title?  And last year's show was great - an un-injured champ was dethroned, Wolf had a chance (and blew it), and Health showed he belongs at the top.

I think if Jay comes in a little lighter and focuses mainly on conditioning he is probably unbeatable.  However, I think his waist may be too wide at this point and that may be irreversible.  Also, I hate his coloring the past few years.  For example in 06 he looked awesome but his coloring was so dark that it was difficult to see detail.

If it was a small waist contest he would stand a chance, but its not. 

The tread is too thin on the Xman, his upper body just does not have the thickness to win...at his age he cannot make the improvements necessary.   He has great genetics and looks great when relaxed but in a bodybuilding contest his lack of thickness and density in his chest, back and arms is exposed.

So please, enough with the worn out Xman, lets get some new talent with a positive attitude in the sport.

It's between Phil, Kai, & Dexter.  Kai wins from the back, and that's usually where Olympias are won.  This is going to be very close.
