I went in to have a bone spur removed a week ago and the first thing they found was a labral tear. Has anyone had this type of repair and if so what was your recovery time to get back training hard again? It's amazing how one week you can be lifting heavy weight and the next you arm feels like it's 200lbs.

My rehab protocal puts the patient back to weight training in the 4-6 month range.  Some people progress faster than others.
