Sgt Monday was a pretty good guy...except when he led PT...he was trying hard to become 1SG and he felt like being sadistic leading PT would get him that elusive promotion (even though it's all on points/DOD guidelines at that level).

When I was stationed in Germany, the 1st Sgt liked to lead PT.  There was a "no cadence" zone anywhere near the barracks and the asshole loved to call cadence super loud outside we squids windows.  We were all shift workers and he woke me up off of a midwatch one too many times one morning.   I just flung the window open and yelled for him to "shut the fuck up..."   It was still kinda dark out and I heard him prowling the hallways looking for who did it.  Then I heard our Senior Chief ask him what he was doing....it got quiet and then I heard the Chief ask him "what the fuck were you doing calling cadence?"  I was just laying in bed snickering like a 12yr old. Long story.....sorry.

Once in the field, the battalion CO (Lt Col) came over the radio and gave some sort of instructions and then said, "How do you copy?"  I responded, "On a Xerox machine, and you?"  He went off and yelled, "WHO THE FUCK SAID THAT?"  I replied, "Specialist Wylie.  W-Y-L-I-E"  (Wylie had ETS'd a couple weeks earlier)  I heard that the CO spent two days looking for "Specialist Wylie."

as for the gay thing, I rationalize it this way.....they never say ugly guys are gay
for instance, you will NEVER hear this in a conversation
"wow, that guy is fat and ugly...he must be gay"

I work in a VANITY business....looks are everything

...plus, i've had to live in my dad's shadow all my life (he was really good looking- he looked like Marco Ruas when he was my age) so i overcompensate with vanity
