Imagine some little kid who looks up to bodybuilders and becomes a fan of this filthy ugly creature then googles his name, some of the first results are disgusting pornographic pictures of this freak.  how the hell can the IFBB allow this creep to compete, let alone take first place in the 2nd most prestigious contest in bodybuilding?  absolutely ridiculous. 

his physique good? sure, but he looks like a prehistoric throwback.  his face, his hair,his posing, everything about him is just disgusting.

Storm, little kids need to look up to their parents not some stranger who they know zero about.  Kids should not not look up the anyone because they can shoot a basketball, throw a ball or lift weights. To me, this is bad parenting.  By implication you saying that you would allow a total stranger to serve as idol for your kid? As a parent it is one thing to allow your kid to praise someone for their physical gifts but they need to explain the facts about not looking for heroes in strangers.

Very true. At least, if my kid wants to look up to someone, I'd rather see him looking up to a Nobel prize in physics or an artist, at least someone who's legacy will forever be alive. If your 6-year old shows you a pic of Kai Greene and tells you "Dad, I wanna be like him when I grow up", it's time to rethink the education you're giving him and probably get an appointment with a shrink.

I'm a fan of Kai's so this is cool.

But as a designer that placement of "2009" is bothering the f*ck out of me.  Either make it bigger so that the bottom of the "9" sits in front of or behind Kai's shoulder.  C'mon, that's some Design101 type shit.  Come to think of it, "Latest Research" is weird too.  Their new art director/graphic designer sucks.

Teaser copy or not its still an element interacting with the rest of the composition.  I you want a good example of proper interaction between teaser copy and image look at the covers to Esquire.  They have it figured out.

Actually Kai is one of twp black bodybuilders with good calves, the other being Heath.

He has favored the appearance of his right oblique because it is on display whereas the left is covered by his arm.  Also, the mags photoshop the pictures slightly--especially the covers--to streamline the athletes a bit.
