Obama managed to get more than 50.1% of the population into believing that going on welfare or taking handouts is ok.

The more he promises, the more people approve of him.

They showed the number of people who claimed to be repubs, dems, and independents over the last few months.

Every month, another 1 or 2% of people stopped claiming repub status, and chose independent status.  This went back to mid-2008, I believe.  Each month, the base eroded and the independent number grew.

Now, you can go ahead and scream about it being some lib poll, and you can say "Zero"s popularity is falling and that the repubs will take back the senate in 2010.

However, facts are facts.   Pollster has obama steady climbing and maintaining position in their aggregate of polls.  He's saying popular.  You have arlen specter dumping the repub party completely to win re-election in 2010.  You have a leaderless party and one that isn't going to win anything until it abandons this dinosaur base of abstinence and "let's ignore all the lies of WMD, Iraq, 911, etc".

Get a grip, GOP.  Thanks to the web, people aren't stupid anymore.  You can't keep jamming bullshit down their throat with a bigger spoon.
