The Supreme Court didn't steal anything. All it did was say that enough was enough, after 5 weeks of Dems trying to redefine ballots to give Gore the win. Bush won Florida on Election Night; he never lost his lead in Florida. In fact, he wouldn't have even been in that recount mess had certain media outlets not foolishly called Florida for Gore, before ALL of the polls in the state were closed.

How convenient that they forgot about the panhandle (which tends to be more conservative) being in the CENTRAL TIME ZONE. There were thousands of complaints of people on their way to the polls, who turned away after being erroneously told that Gore had already won. Had they cast their ballot, Bush's margin would have been even wider, hence no recount.

As for Specter, he left because things were looking so bad FOR HIM (he even said as much in his press conference). He was going to get smoked, if he ran for the Republican nomination, and he knew it.

I favor what the military wants since they are the ones going in harms way, not your or me.
