To many guys of the same level....day X will show who made the better homework...

i believe Markus Rühl, silvio Samuel, Dennis James will made the final....but there are a lot of other Competitors who can also reach the final, or beat on a "good" day any of the named guys....

I asked this in Ron's pinned thread about the NY Pro but havnt got any responses, but is Dennis James competing or not? His name is in this thread but not in the list that Ron has pinned on this page.

All right, I am going to start with some predictions and see where it takes me...  this lineup is much stronger than I thought, and probably one of the strongest NY Pro lineup in years.   I wish I was going to check out this contest.

First of all, forget the East Coast bodybuilders, I think the winner of the New York Pro show is going to be none other than Silvio Samuel, who lives here in the Los Angeles area and will continue his streak of good fortune.

So here goes... for the main show

1- Silvio Samuel
2- Evan Centopani
3- Marcus Ruhl
4- David Henry
5- Dennis James
6- Darrem Charles
7- Kevin English
8- Hidetada Yamagishi
9- Ben White
10- Sergey Selestov
11- Marcus Haley

For the 202lbs and under show..

1 - Ed Correa
2 - Fakhri Mubarak
3 - Mark Dugdale
4 - Jose Raymond
5 - Vinny Galanti

Note - if Ed Correa moves to the main show, I would place him in 7th place.

Keep in mind that the competitors have to choose one or the other, they CANNOT compete in both shows like they did last year, which means that David Henry is choosing to be in the main contest instead of the 202lbs and under, which he could easily win.

What do you think?

Really Ron... ::)

Is Evan Centapani that good to where he is gonna beat out Mr Consistant Dareem Charles and Hide...GTFO...Im goin with
1 Silvio
2 Charles
3 Hide
4 Dennis James
5 Evan C
6 Markus Rhul

This show is going to be great - I think the lineup is the best its been in years.  I don't see anyone beating Ruhl based on his guestposing footage.  He dwarfs everyone!  He looks really complete, I just hope he can nail his conditioning.

Silvio is always great and don't under estimate Dennis James!  I am excited to see Evan and would like to see him in the top 5.  We need some "Dorian" like conditioning and he is expected to deliver it!

DJ and Ruhl both seem to have found a second wind in their respective careers.  I am rooting for both of them in NY!

Lonnie Tepers Blog from 05-12-09 -

http://www.ironmanmagazine.com/blogs/lonnie/

Man, this is a lot tougher than I imagined. Trying to pick the cream of the crop at this weekend’s New York Pro, both in the main event and in the 202 and under, is tantamount to selecting between Megan Fox, Julianne Hough and Jessica Alba for your date on New Year’s Eve.

But, when have “The Experts” ever back off from a rugged assignment? The Swami, Isaac “Hardbody” Hinds and Ron “Yogi” Avidan, wanting to prove, once again, they are the most distinguished trio in the industry when it comes to handicapping contests, didn’t hesitate when asked by their legions of fans worldwide to call the shots at the Big Apple this weekend.

And, Hinds really showed some huevos (that stands for testicles in Yiddish, or Spanish, or German, I think) by really going out on a limb this time around, picking Darrem Charles to topple what is probably the best field promoter Steve Weinberger has produced in years!

Not only that, but “Hardbody (named after his website, not his hardbody) kept right on going, tabbing Eduardo Correa to best David Henry in the 202 and under, and puts Kevin English, last year’s winner, in fifth! Isaac wins my respect right here and now with his bold prognostications.

We call ‘em as we see ‘em, although a lot of folks claim we need thicker glasses to clear up our clouded vision. Actually, that’s why I borrowed Yogi’s for this difficult assignment.
Enjoy.

If Dennis show up looking like he is capable of, which doesn't happen very often he will destroy Silvio. I think he is way overrated. Evan has a much better structure as well IMO.
