he is probably just misinformed kyomu. its highly doubtful he was using non-synthetic hgh

whats the difference between synthetic and non-synthetic hgh?  ???

Up until the early 80's, Somatatropin (growth hormone) was extracted from the pituitaries of dead bodies. A substance known as a prion was detected in the cadaver derived growth hormone which led to a brain wasting disease known as Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease, which is similar to mad cow disease. This method of extracting growth hormone was discontinued and a new genetically engineered version was created.

It's been said a thousand times before - the 90s were the heyday of bodybuilding.  None of the current NPC heavyweights could come close to Dennis Newman.

Imagine a guy like Peter Putnam on stage next to Newman... :-\

Even most "pros" nowadays don't come close...

WOW..that is some physique...as jaded as i am having seen a myriad of talented competitive bodybuilders in my life; whether it was friends, family, contests, or magazines..i really have to tip my hat to that guy.  especially that day..he looked like a god...a drug abusing, oiled up, latently homosexual god...but a god none-the-less.  you dont see too many white guys with those kind of lines and proportions.

What I thought was pretty sad about Newman is that he went through a pretty horrible time getting bone marrow transplants and what not..then he gets cured and he goes back on the sauce and tries to compete again. In a later interview with Muscular Development magazine, he admits he also went back on GH for his comeback. I couldn't imagine going through leukemia and then getting back on gear and gh once I was in remission..shows the guy wasn't too bright.

Don't know how much is heresay or whats been mentioned here but it is to be believed he was a major gh guy and that his looks and to avoid sides to effect his looks is why  he was using mostly gh.speculating only....
