I notice people always say that and yet it's always the same handful of people playing the best roles year in and year out. Acting isn't hard, but I reckon good acting is. There is a huge difference between Daniel Day-Lewis and some fag in Twilight.

everyone is constantly "acting" 24/7.

lets act out a scenario, film it, then get paids millions of dollars. wow. so tough.

same "actors" are used because of popularity among the viewers.... more popular actors = more money.... the reason they are popular is because they are good looking or because of the characters they play... but the characters they play are based off scripts, not themselves..save a few. comedians turned actors are an example of some who "deserve" it

There's a difference between you lying to your parents about stealing $10,000+ from their bank account for drugs and doing that in front of a dozen cameras.

If it was so simple, the same handful of "good" actors wouldn't be playing the best roles every year or getting $20,000,000+ to do it. Wouldn't they just find some chump off the street to do it for $10,000?

That good looking thing doesn't mean shit. Some of the best actors aren't good looking by any stretch.

nobody knows average joe off the street. paying him 10 grand may save money in actors fee's, but it owuld lose money based off ticket sales, dvd sales, ect ect. biog stars cost alot of $ because they bring in alot of money based on their popularity.

It's not just acting alone - it's mainly the looks and the charisma. Which is why Martin Lawrence, for example, would never be as rich and famous as WS if he played any of WS' biggest roles, which he'd of course, never even be considered for anyway.

That scene in the begining of Legend where he is flying through the streets chasing the pack of dear in that red Shelby Mustang kicks ass! That dog was really cool too. Loved when that lion hit that dear hard right before WS tried to shoot it, the sound is awesome if you see the movie in blu ray and your surrounnd system can decode Dolby True HD.
