So I take it that you totally buy into the White House "truth" that says global warming is even worse than originally thought.....and they released this "unbiased report" right when Congress began to vote on Cap and Trade?

Convenient, no?

I totally buy into the fact that there is global warming (whether it is man made or not) and refuse to waste my time watching propaganda.

And they did the Cap and Trade, and it didn't work.

Was the Sen. Inhoeff on that video because I didn't watch it and if it was Inhoeff than it probably is propaganda.

Oh well.

Well Cap and Trade is one - Global Warming is another. You may not believe in Cap and Trade but does that mean Global Warming isn't real?

I've seen stuff like this before - only slanting it the other way. Are you telling me you're enough of an expert not to be bamboozled by the big words that these "scientists" are using. I don't have a problem if people come out and say "Global Warming is not man made", I do have a problem when they say "There is no Global Warming and anyway if it is it's not man made". I mean let's agree on the facts and not try and run a propaganda (stonewall) campaign to frustrate the other side.

I don't believe global warming is man made, I believe that the cycles of heating a cooling the earth goes through are due to solar activity. And if indeed that is the case then this whole "climate change" scare is nothing more than the government(s) trying to gain more control over populations and or the Al Gore's of the world trying to get rich over it. Science does not operate on consensus, you come up with a theory and you  prove it or you don't. I have yet to see any proof that man made global warming exists, and get irritated when people try to pass is off as fact.

There are benefits to "clean" technologies - they use less power which means you spend less money running them. I mean creating these technologies is a good idea - we are going to run out of coal, gas, petrol eventually, the supplies aren't infinite. That's why in the long-term this is really a no-brainer, regardless of whether you believe in Global Warming or not.

Thats all fine and dandy, but you cut off your nose to spite your face. The technology isn't there, the government has been so concerned for the last 35 years, but hasn't invested in clean technology. So now we are just going to finish off and already ailing economy with this dumbass bill? You transition into something like this.

True, and maybe cap and trade is the wrong way to go - I guess 35 years late is better than never though.

But at what cost? Can America afford to take this chance now, when other nations have tried and failed? This is not an all or nothing proposition, unfortunatly the POTUS seems to see it that way.

I dont think anybody is saying that we shouldnt try and wheen ourselves off foreign oil but now is not the time to pass legislation that will raise prices and taxes and thats for damn sure. Im all for getting off oil so we can tell those fuck tards in the middle east to have fun eating dirt but we are in a shit hole of a spot right now.

I still have not heard one person tell me what is the "alternative source of energy" that will power our economy in the place of oil.

That is the point, there is no alternative at this time. Oil products are such a huge part of our economy, just about anything you use on a daily basis has some derivitive of an oil product in it.
