I understand what you're saying. You notice a loophole, and while you're not really exploiting it, you notice that you are still not obeying the rule 100%.
Why not memorize all the weights, order of exercises etc... till you get home and input it on your computer; be it a website or a program on your hard drive?

My rule of cellphones? They don't even enter the gym with me! I leave mine in my car. Every partner I've ever worked out with, I've told this to. When they answered a call on the first day, I pulled the phone from their ear, hung up on the call with no notice, and kept it in my pocket. They never brought the phone in again, then again, they also didn't workout with me for more than a few weeks either!

One of the more blatant Gym rules-violations at Golds Venice is the infamous, "No Gym bags on the floor." Most pros feel that this doesnt apply to them, with Bob Chick being the most blatant abuser of this. It was pretty amusing watching him...spend about 20mins inbetween sets having this huge gym bag strapped around his chest while he would talk shop to verious people. I dont think I ever saw him actully use it for anything else other then a prop.

If the intent of the rule is to stop conversations on the training floor because they are disruptive, or to stop picture-taking as an invasion of privacy, and Tre is doing neither, they should leave him alone. If he shows the training log app to the gym douche, and makes him understand that's what he's using the (gay) iPhone for, that should be that. People who enforce "letter of the rule" rather than "spirit of the rule" are narrow-minded, low IQ douchebags whom I have nothing but contempt for. (yes, Bob, I'm looking in your direction.

I'm usually at the gym alone, so I keep to myself and I'm totally focused on what my purpose is there. On the times when I am lucky enough to have a partner (maybe 1-2 times a month), she's even more focused than I am. We're just not there to bullshit and it's not fun time.

Capping off the evening, after hitting the grocery store, I then got a ticket for doing 80 on the highway. I don't even do 80 on the interstate!

Both my vehicle and the car that flew past me are silver, yet I'm the one who got tagged. I was doing 74-75 at the time, but the officer says he's positive it was my vehicle. It was late at night...clearly a case of mistaken identity. I admitted to 74, so they're gonna hit me up for a few hundred, I know, but if I get stuck with the 80mph, I won't be able to avoid the insurance hit.

First ticket in 10 years...unreal.

I keep my training log on my iPhone (homo).

So, after each exercise, I input the information.

Last night, one of the gym staffers informed me that I'm not allowed to have my cell phone on the gym floor at all. Both of us were cool about it and he said most of the staff would probably look the other way or not even notice if I made an effort to be totally discreet about it.

Although I can certainly switch to a paper log, is my gym being overly skittish here? (he said that there had been claims of people using their cell phones to take pictures of other people in the gym)

They would go spastic at the gym I go to, practically every other twat is having full on conversations or at the very least texting between every set which is usually about ten minutes!

Tre-doesn't sound like a reprimand at all and the gym employee sounded like he was pretty cool about it. Did you tell him you use your phone as a journal?

Another thing, this is the second thread in recent days that you have started wherein you describe some sort of problem at the gym. Is there anything else going on that you'd like to talk about? I mean these things seem out of character for you.
