just watched it last night, good stuff, i was graduating high school around the time he was at USC, guy had a shitload of talent, that UCLA game looked like a hell of a game.

It's very good.  I had no idea the drug use started in high school.
They do a great job with so many of those ESPN films.

I didn't know he'd started smoking in HS either.  I had always been led to believe that his dad controlled every moment of his HS career. 

What I've learned since then about recruiting is that instead of pursuing the school you're in love with, the dad should've found the right *coach* for his son...by letting Todd pick the coach himself.  Despite the prestige of the USC program, the school wasn't going to get junior ready for the NFL, but the right coach would.  I don't know who the guy for Todd was back then, but there's no question that coach Larry Smith wasn't it and he should've transferred instead of going into the draft.

i learned some stuff i never knew about Larry Smith from that, he coached here at Mizzou for a few years after that and was always viewed in a positive light when he was here but seemed like a real asshole at USC.
