dead lift questions
« on: August 14, 2009, 09:03:13 PM »
first dose anyone know the distance between the bar and the floor with standard size plates? the plates at my new gym are smaller and cannot get height right so i can not get positioned right, at least that is my excuse now!

also dose anyone have any tips on peaking for a meet? my leg workouts have been great but the better they are the worst my dead lift work out gets. currently monday is squat day, wednesday bench, and friday dead lift.

finally is there any videos for the dead lift, kind of like squat RX, dave tate's 6 week bench cure? i have watched rippitoe's but he is dry and creepy so i have a hard time watching his stuff, and of course i am poor so i am talking about stuff on youtube!

9 inches from the ground is the standard I believe.

The other questions would best be answered by others. I just play with my DL position and things until I get it just right.

9 inches thanks.

i was looking more for proper form. i finally found some stuff for that.

i actually got mark rippitoe's starting strength, i don't like his videos much but the book so far is pretty insightful. seems like a good starting point to spot check my own form. i will finally be getting another camera next month! so hopefully i will be able to post video for everyone to laugh at next month ;D
