b) CHINA also abstained in sending their athletes.  No reasons were given.

Probably wanted to buffer some new drug protocol from any testing in order to use it in the next Olympics. Pretty crafty.

I know, beating a dead horse.

http://www.worldgames2009.tw/wg2009/eng/sports.php?sn=24

"With the formation of the International Federation of BodyBuilders (IFBB) in 1946, by brothers Joe and Ben Weider, modern bodybuilding was born."

The Weiders didn't start using the name IFBB until 1948, and didn't really start having regular contests until 1959.  The first 'international congress' was in 1964.  But they didn't incorporate and become a legal entity until 1969.

Mr Britain goes back to 1930, Mr America 1939.   Those were the birth of modern bodybuilding.

Tim:

what is the status of Lurie's lawsuit against the Weider's that they stole the term 'IFBB' from him, since Lurie supposedly used it first?

That part of the world gives much more legitimacy/respect to bodybuilding....honors them right along with all other athletes

Yes Koji is very dedicated, i saw that show on TV last year when i was in Japan, he trains hard, but all the stuff about his eye problem and him not wanting to accept steroidal treatment is over played, he is not natural he gets his gear from the same source as i mentioned before musclecenter, being a juicer does not take anything away from him, he trains his ass off, good bodybuilder, better than Hide!

especially since treatment for an eye problem would be corticosteroids, which are pretty much the opposite of anabolic steroids.

there is no lawsuit.   55 years ago, he might have had a case.

the general public does not know that Tim.  that's why he puts the story out there.  makes him seem like some kind of a hero
