The Infinite Dress

This dress has been promoted in infomercials.  Have any of you ladies seen this dress in person?  Or tried it on?  What did you think of it?  Is it a serious dress or is it just comical?  I laugh every time i see the infomercial. I'm thinking of buying this for a friend of mine as a gag gift, but I want to make sure she doesn't take it seriously. 

If you are not familiar with it, it is a dress that can be worn in many different styles.

I've never seen the commercials but many of those looks are attractive imo.  Not sure how it would look in person though.

It could be a good dress to take on vacation maybe.

Victoria's Secret is selling something like that in their catalogs now but I don't think they have that many styles pictured.
