Just something that I noticed about the black bodybuilders. They all had white gals managing them! They took details of contacts and so on.

It was close between Freeman and Samuel. It could have gone either way.

Toney has a torn pec and that detracts from his physique. The other guys presented better abs and calves.

also, i dont really prefer kai's physique over tony's even though kai looks good. look at kai and silvios stomach in teh first and last pic i posted (and in many others). Their abdomens are distorted and bloated, whereas tony has a very crisp waist and looks like a larger version of the 70's bbers. He is more of what BBing needs in terms of proportions, and he dominates that front dbl bicep pose by far against those guys.

Kai dominated in the side and back poses...

I was photographing the judging so saw the contest through the viewfinder of my camera. From what I saw I would say it was an unanimous win for Kai Green with 2nd place split between Freeman and Samuel. Tony D can tell us how the judging went.

I agree that Freeman has a great physique but Kai was clearly superior that day.

It is one thing to possess a great physique and quite another to display one. Kai is a bit of both.

To be perfect he needs longer muscle bellies in arms and calves. That being said, look at his development in those areas. Outstanding.

I agree that Freeman has an excellent physique. However, photos tell only part of the story and during the judging the competitors move a lot and pose this way and that. Kai literally steals the show during the transitions. When they all hit poses Kai doesn't dominate like you think he might. Critics are correct that Freeman does 'win' some of the poses and has a small waist and broad shoulders. I tell you the transitions while posing during the judging is absolutely crucial.

At the Australian Pro the judges took their time and even had the top three guys change positions and pose again. So they didn't rush anything.
The fact that they changed positions means it was very close. If two are brought out that means they are having trouble separating them. This happened with Freeman and Samuel.

I arrived at the contest late and the prejudging was well underway. So I missed shooting Freeman's routine. I don't have any individual shots of him to post here. They are available at MD I think.

Yes, but as far as pec tears go, Toney`s is relatively minor.

No bodybuilder wants to tear muscles. So it is sad that Toney has torn his pectoral near the armpit. The trouble with tears is you look for them and they spoil a good physique. Dorian Yates is probably the last guy that will win an Olympia with a torn biceps.

You have to admit that Silvio looks really awkward in many of his poses. Yet his physique is a very good one. He is one guy who doesn't look better when he poses hard on stage. Maybe he has to relax and not get too contorted, etc. Some guys try too hard and screw up their faces and even have their necks disappear. I think Kai isn't that strong in the standard poses because he is trying too hard. He will have a big job overcoming pros like Heath and Jackson.

Kai is unusual in that alone he looks really short because he is so thick when in fact he is about average height for a bodybuilder.

Compare Toney's abs with Kai and Silvios in this pic below. Silvio has the bloated GH gut coming out, and Kai has a very wide stomach as well.

This photo below is what Mr. Olympia should look like! He looks amazing here. Looks much better than Kai or Silvio here. What people would aspire to look like in my opinion.

Saw this chick at wonderland wearing a shirt that said "I only date good looking guys" but the guys she was with where anything but.

It should have been between Kai and Toney, and even then, Kai has gyno and a GH gut, so deduct some major points for that, plus deduct points for having a bad structure (he is squished looking with a short torso), and I would give the win to Toney.
