First, the two quotes from me you used say the EXACT SAME THING...there is no contradiction...you're the one coming up with these wild senarios and going to extremes to try and make a point...TIME was the factor, and the Bills needed to get first downs, or at least move the ball downfield enough to put the Pats back deep in their own side if they did have to punt....so, your senario is completely RETARDED....

he did compete in bb as a teen from 14 or 15 and up....so unlikely he also played football during this time

And you are....played from Youth leaue at 9 yeras old to the State Championship game in HS (which we won)...

But playing ball doesnt make one wise to they smartest play, as evidenced by the "experts" in this thread...

This whole debate comes down to one thing...you dont return out of the endone in this situaton because IF you fumble the ball, you may end up losing the game .....and that possibility is increased when you have a defense coming down the field at full speed with the INTENT of causing a fumble...

If he was on the 1 yard line, then he just gets shit for fumbling the ball, but had no choice but to return it.

Being IN the EZ, he had the choice...

But in returning the ball, he most certainly did the right thing in playing the team they were playing against.

You're so wrong. 3 and out still ends up in you punting from the 25 or so with much less time on the clock. That's worst case scenario other than a fumble or INT. If he took the knee, went 3 and out the pats would have gotten it back around their own 30, not the Bills 30.
