I know what you are saying, but there are ways around it. the kid whose father is a Police Officer (they are some of the worst and get away with anything), rich kids, where there is a loophole, someone will find it, where there is a rule, there is a "exception".

In some areas of this country you can carry a gun right there on your hip as long as it is visible and is not loaded. People either think you are a plain clothes cop or detective. Remember, that the gun cannot be concealed and it can't be loaded ! You can carry your ammo on you as well, as long as it is not in the gun. Most people do not know about this. People ask if you are a cop and if you say no they will call one on you. All the cops can do is a search on you to make sure the gun is not loaded. Then you can go on your way. It may feel weird to carry a gun in the open like that. Trust me though, no one will fuck with you !

Think that maybe their should be more campus police, or a student volunteer brigade, that comprises of students who can carry. And each dorm has at least two, or one person on each floor that is a member of that brigade.
