Georges St. Pierre vs Greg Kovacs both at their prime in the cage.

Discuss.

Hahahha, Kovacs would gas after taking 3 steps and fall over in a heap of limbs and muscle... GSP by lack of oxygen to Kovacs heart.

So you're saying that even after seeing this intimidating 6'2 400+ pound Caucasoid mountain of muscle in person, you still think the 5'11 GSP would be able to take him down?

He would pass out walking to cage and his wife would end up fighting for him.

At least attend to his third degree burns and rotting flesh!!

Whats crazy is he has hamstring separation here! That giant gut but hes ripped?! I have seen Melvin Anthony with worse ham definition on stage.

I've seen Greg at the gym, Gold's in Mississauga (in Greater Toronto area)  the man couldn't walk 4 paces without stopping for air and turning purple, he looked like  a walking heart attack... I will even go as far to say that all GSP would have to do is blow air at him and Kovacs would have toppled or had cardiac arrest in the cage. It was almost laughable, the guy didn't even take the 45's off the bar, his wife did that for him.

So you really don't feel Greg's size would be any advantage at all?

Dude, the guy couldn't walk 3 paces without keeling over like he was going into cardiac arrest, have you seen the cardio required for an MMA bout? even one 5 minute round, Kovacs wouldn't last 15 seconds before collapsing.

I thought maybe Greg could win due to his size and strength advantage but I guess I was wrong.

so he couldn't take the 45s off the bar, but he could lift them?

He could, he was just too lazy and would probably get out of breath if he had to stand up, walk 2 feet to the end of the bar, pull the 45 off and go back... he was a walking heart attack, esp. towards the end of his career when he really ramped up the growth and insulin.

there is a point when the extra size is too much and will work against you.

everyday folks who are not in the "loop" will actually believe him because of his built. But we know better.....not many men in this world can do it.

He may die young, but he will die knowing he looked better then 99.99999% of everyone else at one point.

However, 99.999999% of women who watched him during that time would look at him and say  "gross" .

Is this true, in particular the bit in bold?

It's business as usual at the gym.  A symphony of humming pulleys, clanging iron plates, the grunting of uber-men taxing their muscles beyond the limit, the raucous laughter between men.  Then!  A hush falls over this din, as HE muscle-walks into the room.  Jaws drop and FISHY smelling pussies moisten. It's Greg Kovacs...and he's back!

I am always amazed by this picture.  His obliques are fucking enormous.  Savage figure-8 taper.

There were black and whites side by side pictures of the 2004 arnold in musclemags and Kovacs owned a lot of guys in the back double bi from what I remember from the pics.

Also, had Bob Chick been in better condition he would have placed very well in that show

Greg may not have been very competitive as a pro, but he must have been a sight to behold in person.  From the 2004 Arnold:

I'm telling you guys, in person him and Scott Milne weren't human looking... it's one thing to be jacked up to 250 and 5'8 but a WHOLE other game when you're 6"3 and 325...human walls, just monstrous looking.
