Most of you won't even try to look at these pics. And it's because you KNOW that this is so wrong!!!! Our tax money SHOULD NOT be funding abortions!!!!!

I'm going to post some of the images that I found during the election when trying to warn of what then-candidate Obama wants to do with regard to abortion and being a puppet to Planned Parenthood!

Or more realistically, the fact that the NYT is bankrupt and hemorrhaging readers on a daily basis has impelled the powers that be to print some actual stories based in fact and reality.

For cases of rape or incest, I have no problem with my tax dollars being used. For other cases, not so.

That's the argument used most often. Looking at the big picture, in cases like this, we're talking less than 1/2 of a percent of all the abortions that take place. That's just in the United States, where we are closing in quickly on 50 million (50,000,000) abortions.

I'm not following. You're OK with taxpayer money for cases of rape and incest, or you're not OK with it?

If it's such a small percentage, then I would think that's all the more reason not to be bothered by taxpayer funding for those cases.

I looked at them and didn't think much of it. Sure in an ideal world everyone in the immediate family would come together to support the mother in raising the child and the child would be fed and clothed and loved BUT that's not the real world.

There are tons of cases where children are raised in shit moral enviroments, with a drugged mother, male partners that come and go, squalor conditions, no education, basically no hope for a "normal" upbringing.

You can get all emotional about the pics but the fact is I can think of many people that should have been aborted and it would have done society a lot of good, regarding saving more money in the long run and probably saving a lot more lives that most of these raised disasters would have affected in a negative way.

I agree the photos are shocking. It's something no one wants to see, but it's a reality of life as we know it. Abortion is here to stay. I think more money should be spent on education and alternative options i.e. free birth control, more use of adoption.

What i don't understand is the stance many people take about being anti-abortion, pro-liberty. If you don't want to be told what to do with your body, don't try to tell others what to do.

Some people consider abortion murder. If you believe abortion is murder, there is nothing to choose.

I am personally against abortion. I think it is a disgrace, an outrage, etc.

However, I think the govt dictating everything to everyone is a far worse sin in this are IMHO and thus the abortion issue does not really get me riled up too much.

No president or vice president or politician would support steroids use outside of prescription. I challenge you to find ANYONE on record in congress recently who supports or wants steroids to be available without a script.

My point was that this small percentage does not justify taxpayer funds for the other 99.5% of abortions that occur in the US. It would be one thing if these 50,000,000 abortions were all related to rape and incest cases, but it's not the case.

liberty is one think KC personal responsibility is another...dont confuse the two

abortion in most cases isnt about liberty its about shirking personal responsibility

That's not the point he was making. He's saying if you argue that women should have the freedom to do with their body as they please, then why shouldn't an individual who wants to take gear have that same freedom.

I'm not arguing they shouldn't. The point i was making is why single out a vice president when NO politician is on record as supporting the use of steroids without a script.

Sorry for the delayed response, bro. I missed your post.

My point in that question is that, in order to argue to preserve or take a life, you must HAVE life in the first place.

I've mentioned this before about this topic. Life never became more real to me than when I first saw my oldest child on a ultrasound. She was but a speck and a heartbeat, yet I connected with this human being and identified her as a part of me. It was life in is most infinitesimal form. It was amazing. It was at that point that I forever solidified my argument that life begins at conception. If you look at life from that standpoint, then it's hard to see how America allows it's citizens to inject saline into that "speck and a heartbeat" so it will stop living. Or worse, partially deliver a fully formed infant, only to crack his/her skull and suck the brains out....then deliver the rest of the body so he/she can be left on a table to die.

I think abortion is too difficult an issue to be inflexible on.

I only support first trimester abortions and then after that I am totally against abortion under all circumstances ( unless its rape, incest or to save the mothers life).

When the mother first concieves and no vital organs have started to form, the child is basically microscopic. Its hard to argue that an abortion at that point is killing human life.

However, in America abortion is overused and some women use it like an effecitve form of birth control which is disgusting.

I can see both sides of the argument, but overall I don't think a black and white- all or nothing approach is appropriate. Abortion should be allowed with certain iron clad restrictions in place.
