Sugar makes you fat, insulin, etc.

Splenda and friends are bad for you too, right?

Plain tea makes me nauseous.  Any advice?

Honey and sugar are not any different in nutritional value, calories, carbs, etc.  They just taste different.

As for "Splenda and friends", read this:

Splenda is fine.

Earl Grey with some low fat milk, you get used to no sugar after a while

Nothing wrong with sweeteners IMO although some of them don't make tea taste sweet enough. Personally, the closest sugar substitute I've found is Equal which I get loads of every time I'm in the US to take back to the UK with me - they don't do it over here and there's no viable alternative.
