CAP AND TAX / CAP AND TRADE JUST PASSED, What it means for you
« Reply #26 on: November 15, 2009, 05:01:58 AM »
conservatives call it Cap and TAX, democrats call it cap and trade

the reality is its a Cap and Tax on your carbon emissions in your home, if you use too much carbon (according to the meters wich will be in everyones homes you will pay extra taxes/ fines/fees.) Or they cut down your energy supply to your house.

This is one of Obamas other shit ideas that actually slipped by my conscious , because ive never heard of such a stupid bill, its based on the idea that energy is scarce wich it really isnt there is plenty of places to drill for oil ect.

bascially the dummys that voted obama in ALSO voted in more government control over our lives

all these new rules and bs by the democrats arent producing anything new they are bascially choking us out and restricting everything

i dont understand how these stupid bills get passed but then again i see why. Weve got people in the country so hatefull that they cant even make clear decisions anymore and its truley unfortunate for us

this higher form of government control will just lead to more and more and less freedom in the years to come

We are clearly headed for more government control, they gave all the bankrupt companies money and now want to control them as well.

its disturbing that we are going to have a carbon meter being placed in our homes, no telling what other spy attachments or microphones will be present in these little gadjets

Great societies have fallen due to this type of activity in the past, too much government control.

I've been against this shit since it was passed the day Michael Jackson died and they found a good opportunity to slip it through the media.

Politics don't work anymore. Period. Let those of us who are responsible to take care of ourselves not need governance anymore. Let us graduate these cosmic teen years without needing the parents anymore.

The Parents of society don't want us to leave the crib, but instead keep us docile by perpetually traumatizing us and hypnotizing us into believing we're not powerful enough to survive without their rule and domination.

its pure evil how the democrats put that spin on it and call us cap and TRADE to make it seem like we are doing something positive

Obviously the companies can't be trusted and require regulation.  Unchecked profiteering is what got us where we are today.  Why are the working classes always so quick to defend the rights of the rich to get richer while they scrape around for a pot to piss in?  Unless you make 7 figures or more, you want laws that reduce the power of America's owners to sell it out from under you while you foot the bill, which is exactly what's happening at the moment.

As for your carbon emissions Johnny, it's time for the US to reduce.  Don't quote me on the figure but I recall hearing that America produces 25% of the world total.  Excessive with only about 5% of the world population.  Industrializing third worlds like China and India need to [be made to] get on board too.  Spy cameras?  Come on dude.  You already have an electricity meter.  'They' are 'monitoring your activities' already.

if a buisness is failing LET THEM FAIL DONT USE TAX MONEY TO BAIL THEM OUT DONT YOU GET IT F@GGOT?

the whole idea  of carbon hurting the world is JUNK SCIENCE NO SOLID PROOF! Perpetuated by the Dems , that is why you never hear any clear reasoning to the direct corelation of carbon and environment health its all kept quite and they do not want to discuss because they know its bullshit ideas pertaining to global warming. They cant prove without the shadow of a doubt that there is consistent global warming, its gone both ways, the government wants to shut you down and make you fully dependent and hopeless slaves, you further enslave yourself by allowing these things to happen

That's the usual story we get handed but it seems to me that jobs are created in response to a demand for production, not because rich people like being employers.  Hit 'em with a bus and someone else will provide for the demand.  That's capitalism.  Screwing the poor into working 2 jobs and having a generally shitty existence under a system that favors such a lopsided distribution of wealth isn't what I'd call enlightened economic policy.  Kissing big company ass even seems contrary to free market capitalism insofar as it gives them enough latitude to become sufficiently entrenched that innovative startups able to provide a superior product to the consumer would have a hell of a time trying to wedge their way into the market.

The rich, it seems, actually dislike being employers for Americans and prefer to get things done on the cheap in Mexico or China, but are quite content to charge top dollar for their products in the US while demanding all sorts of government concessions for their continued... whatever it is they supposedly do to benefit Americans.  Something else the government should address imo.  Given that big companies are prepared to run America and it's people into the ground for the sake of short term profit, I'm baffled that working people continue to get fooled by these smoke 'n mirrors trickle down fables.

Anyway... I'll stick to making wisecracks in the future, I reckon.

Most people dont work 2 jobs like you say, unemployment is at an all time high and so is welfare there is no poor its only welfare

the rich are being taxed MORE making them SLOW production and that means less job creation because theres no incentive to hire 5000 more workers because its more self defeating in terms of taxes again NO INCENTIVE

the incentive for the government is to tax us more and make us DEPENDENT and cause more chaos they LOVE chaos, a little dependency with foodstamps and other means just leads to full dependency down the road NOT JOB CREATION or alleviate pressure in the form of taxes on private sector buisness to let a person be INDEPENDENT and actually work for there money

we are paying more and more people to stay home OUT OF OUR POCKETS, We would have less taxes if there were more job opportunites and people had something to do rather than sit on there asses on welfare checks

dont let me calling you a f@ggot deter you from using common sense

Ok Mr Employment For All.  You favor some government intervention to keep jobs from going outside the borders then?  Some incentive for companies to keep Americans employed instead of Chinese?

You say climate change is bullshit and I'm an ass talker?!  I've heard it all now.

It occurs to me that a government that kept companies in line and headed off their recession creating activities at the pass wouldn't have to worry about taking measures for recovery.

The bottom line is I'm for prudent government intervention, you're against it, and neither one of us is an economist.

more government intervention = higher taxes and more of a big brother system taking away liberties and making you foot the bill for it, more government jobs (wich are going broke by the way like medicare ect) and public school systems wich are shit and you know it, but you still want it anyways  ::)
