I blame this craziness on both Vince and the individual themself.
Vince has that mind hold on you that says " if you're injured, get well quick otherwise you will loose your spot on the roster".
Wrestler themself realizes this and says, "better do whatever it takes to get back". I can go to TNA and maybe make $1000 a night and for those of you who watch TNA, they only wrestle 1 or 2 days a week.
I would be curious as to how many wrestlers have college degrees or something to truly fall back on regarding a career.
Most mid carders and below are making $300K and less per year. Sounds like alot but these guys are 1099 employees so take out insurance, airlines, car rentals, etc etc this $300K is now maybe $100K and lets face it, alot of these guys live in the now and don't prepare for a rainy day i:e retirement...
When a wrestler says, I don't want to retire, I love the lights, fans etc....most of the time it's BS...they need to wrestle to pay their bills!
