No way dude..Arnold is long gone and is still the face of BB , Coleman is already forgotten other than nutthuggers on BB forums.

Coleman is proberly the freakiest "thing" to ever hit the stage but is already but a memory , you cannot say the same about arnold , on BB forums he still dominates and in the public eye he still reigns surpreme.

It is guranteed if a magazine wants a big seller they put arnold on the cover and his reign was the 70's , coleman will never have an aura like that.

QFT like it or not

Elvis
Jordan
Gretzky
Jim Brown
Babe Ruth
Arnold
Nicklaus
Arthur Ashe
Lance Armstrong
Pele

Only room for one in each Sport/Endeavor as far as all-time greats

Ashe?  WTF did he do other than being black and dying of aids?  Nicklaus?  Tiger even with his recent scandal will obliterate Jack's records.

I don't know much about tennis...if someone asked me to name a tennis player, I'd say, 'Arthur Ashe'...he is more prolific in the public consciousness than most

and, currently, Nicklaus is the most successful golfer ever.

And they BOTH smoke both you and I in achievements, I assume.

I have nephews , friends sons my godson etc they are showing interest in working out as they are hitting there teen years.
They dont want to read the current magazines , they all ask to look at the books and mags I have with Arnold on the cover or the Arnold specials.
These kids wernt even born when Arnold was BB or at an age to apreciate his movies , so there is no hype garnered there , they just know who he is and want to read and breath it in and look at his pics etc.

Coleman will never have that , no one ever will again at least in our live times , Certainly not the mess that is Coleman..

That is aura and his reputation sells him without even lifting a finger.

The reason why, is because of what Arnold has accomplished after bodybuilding. Arnold, pretty much is also responsible for most of the 80s-90s guys getting into bodybuilding, which is who we follow. So in a sense he is the father of modern bodybuilding. So his name will of course come up. Ronnie Coleman just maybe the father of ungodly muscle. But the aura is similar around both. Both are seen in awe, or inspire awe. Both were driven. Both are jovial fun lovin people. Now where it splits is that Arnold was a tad bit arrogant and cocky, Ronnie is a downhome country boy. And remember I said similar auras, not "same".

See my post above yours.

Coleman may have an aura but it wont ever be close to Arnold.
Arnold put BB on the map , which has now been undone with the current crop of competitors.

correct

If BB could have been frozen with what Arnold, Franco, et al had done for its burgeoning popularity in the 70's, it would be a world better than it is today...the fellows today lend to it nothing but corrosion and perversion in most ways

I wouldn't say the two are comparable, if you are familiar with the expression, which pretty much is play on "since you are white you know everything, but you don't really." which is of course a version of "that's one mans opinion".

We could get into a drawn out discussion, but I will not take this thread off tangent.
One could also say Ronnie had a big heart and Arnold had no heart, another diff. Or that Arnold was a user and that he really never held down a real full time job while competing. Ronnie did.

As I said, Arnold is the father of modern bbing, whereas Ronnie is the father of the Uber-freaks. One is Conan, the other is He-Man (or Power Man, if you will)

Luke Cage=Power Man

Nicholas Cage chose 'Cage' as his surname from the comic book character, Luke Cage/Power man

FYI

I know, I said Power Man because he and Ronnie are black. I was equating Ronnie with He-Man and Arnold with Conan, who of course came before He-Man.

If I see half of the BB in my gym and in most gyms I trained in my life - I would say that the wide majority hates training legs
