Actually..I find "art" designed for the masses (meaning dulled and dumbed down for the lowest common demoninator...profit) specifically detracts from it's significance. Hey, if you like it you like it...I just prefer my "artists" to have actually experienced life outside of a disney world upbringing. I also prefer for them to contribute something to the evolution of humanity...it's how I define the word "artist". Lady Gag seems to me to be another corporate sponsored, government approved, barbie clone who sings about "gasp" love, fame, money and sex! Wow! Who would have thought combining those ideas with the standard 1,4,5 pop music chordal progression would qualify as "the real thing"!!!
