Straw - why dont you just take your knee pads to Obama/clinton/Hilly/Bush et al and just give them all of your stuff and accept your chains.

You are a sad pathetic excuse for human being born with free will.

what else - surely there is a lot more you'd like to get rid of.

How about the Department of Education, the FDA, and of course Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid.

come on man - I want to get the complete picture of your Utopian fantasy where the govt stops holding you down and preventing you from experience "opportunity" and "liberty" (2 words I'm sure you recognize that Palin likes to season her word salads with)

 :o  Salads?! those were salads?!
They looked more like a pot luck jumbalaya stew to me.  :-\

If the republicans are smart, they will elect a fiscal conservative with social issues taking a back seat.

I've yet to see a Republican who is willing to do some major slimming down of the Military - which today probably accounts for between 25 and 40 percent of the entire budget.

When most countries spends 3-8 percent of their budgets on their military, it's just economic insanity for USA to keep spending up to ten times as much of the budget.

As empty as paradise

I answered your question directly and you simply dont accept the answer.  Do you think I think the GOP is that much better than the dems?  Slightly.

I remember 1995 - one of the best days I remember was when the Fedzilla almost shut down and all the cry babies were paniced their welfare checks and the fed workers might have to go without a little bit.  Hysterical.

If the GOP takes over, they will block everything Obama is attempting and be gearing up for elections in 2012 to appease the voters, especially the indes who are quickly souring on Obama and the dems.  Nothing will happen, which is good.   No crap & tax, no health care garbage, no liberal la la land projects, nothing.

I simply dont have this childish belief many do that the govt can ever be a force for good.  That is the idiot, moron, lemming, dupe, point of view most democrats have.  I simply dont know why democrats have that view considering they scream daily about wars, katrina etc, but whatever, most dems I know are nothing more than leeches clamoring for free shit from the taxpayers.

Like Harry Browne says - the govt breaks your legs and hands you a crutch and then demands obedience claiming it is helping you walk.

To repeat - and in the words of Obama 'Let me be clear", i want the govt in total gridlock 24/7.
