 Um, I think we all know know that Saddam may have been a dickwad and a nuisance but he was pretty much neutered at that point. I'll say that Bush Sr should have finished him off. It's all well and good to armchair quarterback, etc. I think, tho, if I was President (humour me) I wouldn't have surrounded myself with such cronies as Cheney, Rumsfeld and Ashcroft, etc. And would have kept Powell on as CJCS. But this is kinda ridiculous. I guess, mostly, I would make sure of the intelligence I was getting, and then verify it again and again, especially on the ground not remotely. And when I was sure, I would strike without mercy. Oh, and I would rely more on covert ops, too. None of this inefficient large-scale troop movements. Domestically, I'd do a real house cleaning security-wise. Too much bureaucratic bloat. I'll stop here, as I'm sure you already stopped reading.

What point should I concede? That Bush lied. I believe he didn't and gave my reasons. You have not refuted it.

Compare Israel to the rest of the Mid East, where would you rather live? Where would you have more human rights? If you were an Arab where would you have more human rights, in Israel or any other of the Muslim countres? Any public synagogues in any of the Muslim countries? There are mosques in Israel as well as Arabs/Muslims able to hold political office and are members of the Knessit. Israel represents 1/10th of one percent of the land mass in that area but even that's too much.

Do you really want to make any moral equivalence between Israel and their enemies?

you cant beat them...they are not military...they believe they are fighting a holy war, anything that happens is considered a victory or a sign from god...look at Vietnam, we killed a shit ton of them..did it matter?..no!!..look at Britain vs IRA..did anybody win?..no....if the military is fighting common people with no structure, how is a treaty of any kind going to be agreed upon?..it wont, those people are the way they are..there is no changing them..

..however i do believe a taste of war is good for everyone..but this is a endless war...the only way it will ever end is when the US gives up(i.e Vietnam)...cause Iraq will not....do i like this idea?...hell no, i think we should turn the whole region into a glass parking lot...but the US will See it as "bad business", lose too much money..and call it quits.....
