Breaking news:Randy Orton being charged for assult...
« on: January 13, 2010, 11:21:14 AM »
Oh brother...wait till you guys read this article. I would slap the 15 year old and his dumb mother out too. Peaple need to learn to live and let live and leave people the F**K alone.

A 15-year-old male is accusing Randal Orton (a/k/a Randy Orton) of assault for allegedly spitting gum in his face and swearing at him outside the Kowloon Restaurant in Boston, Mass. after asking the WWE Superstar to pose with him for a photo.

After Orton allegedly spit gum in the 15-year-old's face and called him a "derogatory name," the juvenile's mother  :'( confronted him, who allegedly told her, "so sue me" when she voiced her protest.  ::)  ::)  ::)

A report was filed with local police, who say a hearing has been requested for Orton to face charges of simple assault and battery. A clerk magistrate will determine if the incident warrants a criminal complaint.  ::)

While the article states that the incident took place yesterday, it should be noted that WWE was actually in the Boston area last Friday for a live RAW event.

UNBELIEVALBE HOW THE "GET RICH QUICK" CARD GETS PLAYED.

Kowloon is a frequent stop for wrestlers and other athletes who perform in the Boston area.

I remember a time when "assault" meant you actually had to hit somebody.

Lol...I hear you, Mont.

These f*****n people need to realize that these guys are on the road 24/7, they get banged up in the ring, they are on long plane / car rides, etc. What little time they have for themselves they want quiet and people need to respect that. I remember when Edge was recovering from his Pec tair back in 2006. He came to a sports bar here just outside of Toronto caleed Wegz. He was at a table with his buddies watching the UFC fights. No one bothered him. People knew who he was but respected his personal time and space. Its a joke.

I bet the kid was being a little shit, pestering him for a photo.  People these days will do anything to see get their name in the papers.

Ya know…
People often take things too far & need to practice skills like courtesy and common sense. But, celebs also need to realize that some things just come with the territory.

You want to make good money being in the public eye?
Great!
But know that you are going to encounter the occasional, irritating, little brat muther-fukker who wants you to sign his napkin.

And for every one of those twerps, there’s about a dozen hot-ass ring-rats (skanks) in every city waiting to blow and titty-fukk you because you’re on TV and good looking.
You’re also pulling in $8,000.00 (or whatever)/week, which – even as an independent contractor – is phenomenal.

You take the good with the bad.
Wrestling has a lot of bad, but when you’re at the top, the payoff is unbelievable.
But a lot of guys can’t take the exposure of “being on public display” all the time.

Orton’s lucky WWE isn’t hot like it was around the turn of the century. He wouldn’t be able to handle it, and would probably have been arrested several times by now.

The kid must have been a real pussy and a mama's boy at that.

Stardom does come with exposure but IMO people need to back off too.

It comes down to who the person is as well.  If you saw Rey, or Cena, or Jeff Hardy, I'm sure they'd be pretty accommodating, sign something, maybe even a pic.  But Orton?  I don't know what he's like these days, but with his history, surely they could have guessed that he might be a bit of a dick.  Didn't he get thrown out of the military?  And suspended for harassing the Diva's?  What do people expect?

Even if people don’t know the backstage stuff concerning particular talent, just consider the guy’s on-screen character.

While other wrestlers had fans pushing & crawling over each other at autograph sessions, Rick Rude’s line was usually neat, orderly, and well-behaved because fans knew his character was a heel who took no shit.

Question is, if it was a man asking for his autograph, would he have spit gum in his face?

Reminds me of the video of that guy from the band sugar ray that gets up in the face of and talks shit to a little kid for saying "sugar gay".
Liar!!!!Filt!!!!

The whole situation is a joke. Its one thing if an 8 year approaches you and asks for an autograph. This kid was 15 years old and kept harrassing Orton for a pic. Then his mommy had to put her two cents in. That kid could have been busting Orton's balls and haggling him for all we know. People don't just spit gum on other people for no reason. Obviously that kid did something to aggravate Orton. He should have punt kicked him  :P

They were probably harrasing Randy. I mean how old is he now? Lets hope all his out of control behavior is behind him now? I'm sure he has been f#cked with quite a bit because of his WWE personality. Who knows what this guys like though in the real World? He has always looked like a smart a$$ to me.
Randy's the man. Clearly this kid and his mouth piece of a mother were at fault here.

Orton does have a reputation for being a dick so i don't know if the kid was to blame entirely. Another wrestler may have acted differently without causing yet another ruckus

Regardless, people do need to relax and give these guys room to breath. Leave well enough alone. At 15 years old that kid should have known better and for his mommy to even get involved tels me that this kid is a pussy born and bread.

Update on this story:

Earlier this month a 15-year-old WWE fan accused Randy Orton of assault after Orton allegedly spit gum in his face and swore at him outside a restaurant in Boston, Mass. The fan claims he asked Orton for a picture and Orton got hostile and "assaulted" him.

Orton posted a message on his website explaining his side of the story:

“Here’s what happened: I walked out of Kowloon’s Friday night around 12:30-1 a.m. with Santino and a police officer escort. As I was being rudely hounded for pictures and autos (I had a 6:40 a.m. flight through Minni to Lincoln, then a drive to Omaha, a match, a drive back to Omaha, then a charter to Minni, and a driver to Rochester for the next show the next day, btw), I was confronted by an older women who said: ‘Hey Randy, you spit on my handicapped son a few years ago at a show, what do you have to say about that?’ My replay...`So Sue me.’

Then I proceeded to my car, with Santino and the cop and drove back to our hotel by the Boston airport. I know I have been a bit of a hothead in the past, but I DID NOT spit gum and call names to any child. The women is claiming I called her son a `retard’ 3 times, and spit gum in his face. Come on people, even at my worst temperament, I would never call a handicapped child something awful like that. I’ll actually sign anything for any child with any disability.

I heard just today from WWE attorneys that this women filed assault charges against me 4 days later? Hmmm, oh, and what about the dozens of cops at the restaurant that were there for crowd control since there were over 100 wrestling fans there? Not to mention the cop that escorted me to my freaking car. I’ll be happy when this is over. I guess if I’ve learned anything from this, it is not to ever challenge anyone to sue me.”

According to The Saugus Advertiser, a witness has come forward in the alleged Randy Orton fan attack case. According to the article, Wakefield resident Stephen Addonizio was sitting in a car with his sister in the Kowloon parking lot at the time that the alleged assault took place. Addonizio says that Orton was walking to his car when "about a dozen kids rushed him and asked for pictures". Orton reportedly denied requests for autographs, and one of the juveniles yelled profanities Orton turned to respond when other wrestlers pulled him back and towards their car. "He just kept walking past them and got into his car," Addonizio said, adding that he never saw Orton come into contact with anyone.

Sounds like it’s her word against his, and he has at least one witness.

Either way it makes no difference. You can't sue someone because they tell you off. The whole thing is ludacris. The same thing happened to Jericho a few months ago.

I saw a very poor quality clip of that incident - with the female "fan?"

I thought there was a physical altercation with that.

So did I. It looked like a bunch of people charged Jericho. If I was charged by a bunch of strangers I never met I would react the same way.

No doubt - so would I (and anyone else).

But, you know the drill. . .
So many people are sue-happy, and when it's a celebrity who they perceive to have money, dollar signs flash before their eyes.

Lol..the all mighty get rich quick scheme.

I remember whe Edge came to a sports bar here while he was off with a torn pec back in the summer of '06, not one person haggled him or harrassed him in any way shape or form. He sat at a table with his buddies and what the UFC fights. Its just a respect issue. Everyone knew who he was but they respected his privacy and space.
