Though not the best arms (but underrated), Haney had one of the best FDB ever. That torso is almost unmatched to this day.

What always strikes me the most about Haney is that if you look at him in detail he has many flaws or to be more precise certain parts are lacking comparing to others. But the overall look has a great flow and he was really transitional in bringing more muscle mass to the game while keeping the foundations of a classic physique somehow. Great pics.

no!!.. i watched the whole video of Mr. olympia 1991 and everytime yates was hitting the RLS there was something wrong with his left lat!!.. may be an injury which was recovered later as his lat looked ok in 92 and after!!..

your grandpa still inspires me till today ;).. really man i like old tough ppl and wish i am one of them if i live till i am 60+ or 70+!!..

Yes no joke the man lived to 100 worked in carpentry, had a garden, mowed his on yard and other activities until 98 he still inspires me to this day.

Great photos, thanks nolotil and everyone else.
One thing I don't get is why a lot of people call him the most overrated Mr olympia or say he wasnt that good.
Haney was amazing and dominated his era. Maybe his arms were a little weak compared to his torso in his last years, but that is it.

imo lee deserved all his wins unlike dorian and ronnie and may be arnold also!!.. some say that labrada deserved to beat him in 1990 but when i watched the video, no and no and a big NO!!.. it was not even close, haney was there then came the others.. yes he looked flat comparing to his other victories but still he was clearly better than the others on that day!!..

On the contrary Lee was very close to Haney in 1990

Haney and Yates were the best bodybuilders to ever place 1st and 2nd in the same show ('91 Olympia).  Imagine if Haney had competed for 2 more years and developed more of a rivalry with Yates.  I always thought that Lee could have stepped his game up even more like he did in '91.
