Compared to the pro's these days he is skinny. But, I think it's safe to say most of us would give our left nut to look like that year round

Can't be. It's pre-mustache which he had in PI where he was around 45 yrs. Mid late 30s at the most.

How the hell can you knock his structure??? Fine, he didn't weigh 250 pounds the way you like your men, but he had one of the best structures in the history of bodybuilding.

Arnold was chasing Hollywood(retired)
Franco broke one leg (out)
Sergio was Tired of Joe BS (out)
Lou was doing the Hulk (retired)
Serge was banned from the IFBB (out)

Youre talking that Frank Zane would have been lucky to crack the top six those years (given the fact that every guy mentioned above would have been at their peak had they been in the game in the late 70's)

I'm 22 , not 19.

I've been training for more than 8 years by now , reality has already set in a long time ago.

My genes for building muscle and strength are average at best , my response to hormones is pretty poor BUT my metabolism is really fast,
which keeps me pretty lean year round and my shape is very aesthetic , actually very similar to Zane's physique.

I'm not that far off that it would be completely impossible to achieve a look like that within the next 3 years. I know what my body is capable of
so I'm sure I will be able to add at least 6-8 pounds of lean muscle mass over that period.. I'm 223lbs@5'11'' while still being fairly lean. Last year I was at a pretty ripped 196... my legs might already be better than his.

just remember that the sum total of the parts, the complete package is what Zane, Benfatto, etc were all about.

Yeah I know , weight does not say a lot about how much of a bodybuilder you are.

My waist is small , small joints .. as I said similar structure.

I'm not the bulky guy who looks huge in clothes but when I take my shirt off people are very suprised.

It wasn't luck. I was there for all of Zane's Olympia wins (1977-79) and he deserved every one of them. He was way better in person than in pictures. He didn't look small at all onstage (the bodybuilders at that time weren't 280 pounds) and he brought conditioning to a whole new level at the time. He was a master at presenting his physique perfectly and his posing and stage presence was outstanding. True, he couldn't beat Arnold or Sergio but he beat some great bodybuilders during his time and it definitely wasn't just luck. Another thing about Zane that you cannot say about every Mr. Olympia winner was that he made substantial improvements every year he won. He was both bigger and more ripped at each of his Olympia wins.
