I have a feeling that many Nasser fans have been turned off to the beautiful man with glasses because of the rabid devotion of Team Nasser. Having said that, I believe that I am perhaps the only member of GetBig that have actually become a fan and gained a better appreciation for Nasser because of Team Nasser and do believe he was given short thrift on several occasions.
And I cannot help but have a soft spot for the Nasserites. I like the way they stick together and watch each others backs. And even when discussions, debates and arguments grow very heated I believe they always strive as much as possible to conduct themselves in a diginified and civil manner. Maybe they may at times fall short but I've never seen them really get down in the gutter that so many of us, myself included, fall prey to. Sharma, Sherief, BigBobs all seem like great guys and seem like the type of friends that will stick with you through thick and thin. I suspect that they come from a culture that is a bit less self-absorbed and shallow than we, the Western culture, have devolved to. Sticking a knife in your back seems to be far more common here than watching your back. And the malignant narcissism of the "me first" mind set is now pretty much ingrained in the current generation.
Having said that it almost pains me to say that, from a bodybuilding standpoint, there is really no comparison between Sherief and Groink. Groink is simply on a different level. And why this is even a discussion eludes me. The issue is not what you find most appealing or what you would want to look like but judging by current bodybuilding standard. I personally prefer the more lean and athletic build of a Sherief than a Groink. One tends to favor what one can more realistically achieve. I could never be a beast like Groink and my personal preference would be someone more like Frank Zane than a Ronnie Coleman but from a bodybuilding stand point Coleman is simply in another dimension.
Keep fighting the good fight Team Nasser. You are all good men and represent yourselves well. You are Pellius approved and, even more importantly, the beautiful man with glasses is gh15 approved. You can't ask for a better endorsement than that.
