There were other guys who I think beat Yates during those years. I think Ray, Levrone and Wheeler all should have beat him. Even Priest or Dillet could have been placed above him and I would have considered it fair.

Yates is a huge, awesome torso with sub-par arms and legs.

He just won because of politics of course during those years.

I think if you want to admire a real athlete, admire this man (not Nasser). The worlds greatest American runner. A true athlete. When I want some motivation I rarely ever watch bodybuilders work out. I just read some of his quotes and I'm good to go. He ran a 3 mile race on asphalt, broke his own record, while having 14 stitches in his foot.

Admire who you wish. To each their own, I guess.

in 1996 nasser looked really good and at times watching the contest vid nasser had the edge or made dorian look bad at times but most of the time dorian was on top. i don't think nasser had it to take the title from doz. like i think there can be a case for 98 but maybe because im biased against ronnies physique

as for his gut in 96 it was really small that year almost the same size as shawns

back and side and fls, nassers fls looked weird that year

in 96 only nasser deserved to beat him, yates was still good enough to beat the others especially most of them came off!!.. in 97 sure not only nasser deserved to beat him!..

That's just my opinion I guess. I am a big fan of symettry and I think that if a guy is asymettrical like Yates was then he should get dropped down big time. But my philosphy on that is different than most people's.

The fact that you pose such a questions makes me wonder the amount of intelligence you have acquired.

By TEAM I am assuming you mean TEAM Nasser, the only TEAM with true presence on this board.  The reason we admire Nasser el Sonbaty is because of his accomplishments both career and in personal life that still to this day keep coming.  This man is such a perfect man in so many ways we can only hope to strive to be like him and acquire the traits he has in order to improve our lives.

Nasser has woman flocking to him 24/7, very attractive woman.  Has tons and I mean tons of money, from bodybuilding and from finacnial ventures he has pursued on his personal time.  Nasser has friendships with thousands of people with different ethnic background and can carry a very intelligent conversation about his or their own background as two similar people would converse if they had the same background.

Nasser has mastered the weights, the gym, the drive it takes to become large, tan and jacked, for a life time.  Not like those blow up pros while competing then shrink to prunes when they leave competition.  Not Nasser, he stays 300+ retired with abs mind you.

Nasser has two very loyal and beautiful dogs.  Goes to the beach on a weekly basis, owns many mercedes and still has time to talk to the fans to this day.

Hope that answers your question.

Ok, you asked for it.....

A perfect man doesn't :

1. Fly his mum over from another country to help suck the pussy oil seeping from his shoulder because of years of synthol abuse

2. Get reported to the police for domestic assault

3. Sell his used posing trunks (i.e. manties) over the internet to sordid and creepy schmoes

4. Goes on a forum with multiple nicks, multiple personalities and argues with total strangers about the most menial, trivial and pedantic aspects regarding of his life, over and over and over, spanning years, possibly decades.

5. Has a group of grown men who invest an abnormal amount energy fawning over him to the point of creepiness and homo-obsession.

6. Obsesses over the failures in his life (i.e. 3 times uncrowned you-know-what)

7. Wears a bum-bag

I hope this clears things up you poof.....

Great summary JTSunami!

In addition ShipSekki note that Nasser has a great personality as well - very very kind to his fans, extremely hospitable to friends, thoughtful to everybody he meets - even servers at restaurants and people in public.  Throughout his pro career he sent many free autographed 8 x 10's to fans all over the world, I would know as he sent me one when I was a teen and one to a friend of mine at the time too.  Recently at the local Gold's Gym I go to another guy told me that his roommate got one of those photos mailed personally from Nasser for no charge when he was younger as well.  He even wrote letters and sent photos to fans in prison - one of them spoke in his training video at an expo about this experience.

Every time I visit he really makes me feel at home as well as my wife on the last visit.  He asked ahead of time what types of food we like and always made sure it was stocked up for at home or that he or his admirer cooked for us.  He even wanted to drive from San Diego to pick us up from the airport in LA (four to five hour round drive for him) and he kept insisting but I said I had already booked a rental car.

There are so many such examples, but I am just pointing out a few of them to answer your question.

Hello friends I been a way for a while on business keeping busy and trying to live life to the fullest like the Pharaoh of Muscle!

Nasser is a man of great accomplishment and should be emulated.  A man whose physique is so great that the only thing that even comes close to it is his own intellect!

Adored by women, thousands of fans, a friend to many, he takes life by the horns and is a success because of it.

Yet being a man of great accomplishment has made him the scorn of many on this board.

Those who have hearts full of hate and jealousy spend many hours on this board attacking the 3x (at least) uncrowned Mr.O.

They are a pumpkinhead army comprised of Disgruntled TV repairmen, Tranny Lovers, Basement Dwellers, Keyboard Warriors, and all their gimmicks.

If only they spent less time tearing down others and had a positive attitude they wouldn't live such pathetic existences.

We should admire not hate those who have accomplished great things in life.  That is the Nasser Way.

 Nasser is that you?

Seriously, what kind of a man would write something like this about another man? Unless he is your Father, Brother, or best friend, it is straight up creepy and wierd as fuck.

Nasser seems like a good guy. He is well traveled, speaks lots of languages, and was a great bodybuilder, but this is NOT all that amazing. These are the makings of a cool and interesting guy, but you all are taking it WAYYYYYY too far and acting like he is some messiah.

The ONLY bodybulder I would ever look up to like that is Arnold. He become a 1st class actor and the fucking GOVERNOR OF CALI. These days it looks like Nasser is just chilling. And his bodybuilding success seems to be his one and only major accomplishment in life.

Nasser= a cool guy, but NOT worthy of worship. Are you guys all sexually attracted to him or something? You all remeind me og myself when I was like 13 and I met a really cool guy in his 20's and I would try to be like him and I would talk endlessly about how cool he is, for grown men to do this is soooooo weird.

Oh well, I see people do this some kind of worship with rock bands and actors and other celebs, some people are just freaks. The human condition is a fucked up thing.

What is the point of these teams?

Why would a grown man want to join a team and idolize another men, similar to how teenie boppers idolize boy bands? Seems very homo.

What do these guys get for joining these teams? Are they getting paid, or are they actually just doing it as a hobby?

 What's the deal?

My team consists of one member, Paul "the Loser" Diver..
