You could argue that Lee is the most underrated Mr. Olympia of all time. 8 Olympia wins and he looked his best in his last contest, the '91 Olympia. He and Yates would have made and incredible rivalry in '92 & '93.

I was thinking the exact same thing, how even though he won 8 Sandows, he seems to be forgotten about, because of Yates and Coleman. The man was 5'11"-6'0" (taller than both Yates and Coleman) and was a 260 pound guy, who always came in 250 pounds + in competition. Rock hard solid chest made out of granite, incredible traps, very impressive back/lats, very decent legs (FAR BETTER than someone like Wheeler or later day Levrone). He had a TINY waist, GREAT ABS and one of the best vacuums and for such a big guy. NEVER sported a gut, YET, he is overrated? BULLSHIT!

The fact that Lee Haney went out on top, with his best look ever, while winning his 8th Olympia in a row, shows how great he was. Ronnie and Dorian were worn out and on the downhill slide with injuries on their way out.

I just realize in that black and white ab shot, how much Michael Lockett looks like Haney...hmmm, all twizzlers.

Plus, Lee was 32 when he retired with 8 Sandows. Today we talk about how guys don't even have muscle maturity at 32. And one of the reasons Lee hung it up when he did was because he saw what the next generation was up to. He wasn't willing to go there. Imagine if he did though.

sure with his physique of 1991 he cant win today.. it's nearly 20 years difference!!.. but he has better genetics than jay, kai, dex .. etc so i believe if he was 20 years younger he could win the olympia now!.. imo lee had no CLEAR weak points!!..

see how ronnie looked like in 1992 then how he looked like in 1998!!..
