Guam is part of the United States you assclown.
Yes, the 51st state.  One of the 13 original colonies.  As American as Apple Pie.

Why?  This is the 21st century, infant mortality rates are at record lows, although the United States does rank 46th in infant mortality behind Guam and just one spot ahead of the Faroe Islands.  :-\

Infant mortality measurements vary from country to country. If a baby dies within the first 24 hours (as 40% do) it's counted as still born or miscarriage and not factored in to the infant mortality figure. It's counted in the US. If a baby is born premature or with low birth rate it's not counted in the infant mortality stats as it is here. In Switzerland and other parts of Europe any baby born less than 12 inches and dies is not counted as well.

If you had the choice to be born in any country it's right here in the US is where you should choose.

Why don't you fly me out there and i'll do a guest posing.

I'll only charge you $5000. What a bargain.

Considering where you live and that it's an all expense paid trip. I think you could more realistically command maybe 2-3 grand.

Well, to be fair. I pay taxes to property we own on Guam just like we do here and when we expand our business on Guam this summer, the taxes won't be that much different (so far).

Yes you're right. I'll only charge 2 grand, that's more fair. Surely this is reasonable?

I'll even dress up in a Native American Village people costume while I pose. The bodybuilding "fans" will love that.

Whats funny... even though lots of people hate.  Adonis does look better than a lot of Getbiggers! LOL  And whether you like it or not, his theory of calories out > calories in = weight loss do hold lots of truth, you cannot dispute that!  Although I do not see eye to eye with him on some of the macro nutrient distribution, considering I take in 300 g of protein (Approx 1.3 g per pound of bodyweight) which is much more than what he would do, and I would actually like to increase it to 350 g maybe even 400 g.
Everyone is different, Adonis does what he's proven works for him (you can't dispute that he is lean and showing a full six pack!).  So I don't see what everyone's issue is?

Many getbiggers refuse to post pictures yet talk so much shit, so it baffles me.  I'm not beyond giving credit where credit is due, but at least post a picture if you want some credit and crediblity!

TA I still want to see this TMZ article that everyone is talking about!

And sorry bro, but I'm actually a fan of Berardi!  Why do you dislike him so much?  His physique is above average, but is nothing all that special... but he's got a shit load of knowledge!  Am I missing something?

I think most people will stop their hating if you just post up more pics of Jezhabelle!  Just a thought  ;)

So is the cali debate gonna happen or what?

Good post and very fair.

When people say that we are all different that only applies with specifics. Biologically and physiologically we are all identical. The basic general principles applies to all of us. Otherwise a science such as medicine could not exists. For example, if you have a bacterial infection it will be treated with antibiotics. What type of antibiotics will vary from individual to individual. I'm allergic to penicillin but that does not invalidate antibiotics. Just that specific one. Calories in and calories out applies to everybody. Everybody. But how many calories one needs in order to lose, maintain or gain weight varies widely. But the same basic principle applies. Bench pressed may not work for you vis-a-vis (fancy language for Adonis) pec development. Maybe you need to do more fly work or inclines/declines but the basic principle of resistance training applies to everyone. How much and how one responds, as in prescribing medicine, also varies widely.

Again, if it's just dropping weight in and of itself it's calories in calories out regardless of the macronutrient profile and the individual. But if you want to lose fat and preserve muscle then it's a little bit trickier.

And, yes, more lovely Jezebelle and less TA.

I believe you're real, Marty. And if you're not, I'll still believe it because I want to. You're definitely cut from a different mold and you're my kind of guy. We need more fellas like you around here.

I didn't know Spin trained BJJ? I wonder who he trains with? I'm pretty familiar with everybody in Cali since I was there since the beginning.

MindSpin trains BJJ. He's jujitsu is strength-driven. i have no doubt he could brake my arm if im not careful like i said i want to grapple with him to test how good i can defend myself on the ground against a strong guy with dangerous submissions. plus to he's my friend it would be fun to go eat lunch after and chat

I really am elated by your compliments!  I don`t know Berardi, but perusing his site briefly, not only do I find a man with a sub-par physique, I also find someone espousing total rubbish.

For Example this is one of his diets:

530 g of Protein
398 g of Carbs
177 g of Fat

I cannot take this fraud seriously if this is an archetype for the rest of his "plans".

I took some pictures of Jezebelle yesterday in the Garden.   Perhaps I can post one or two.

As far as the "debate", I believe it was all nothing more than Tom-Foolery by Mindspin.

All you need to know for preservation and for muscle gain is: .5 to 1 gram per lb of bodyweight in protein (which is easy to eat just by default)  and eat as many calories as you possibly can while remaining in a deficit.  This is also easy to gauge.  Pick a reasonable starting amount, say 2700 and adjust accordingly.

In the "offseason" just go slightly higher in calories, perhaps 200-400 more than your initial starting point of your highest calories whilst cutting.

Simple as that.

I absolutely LOVE the comments about the Christian Conservative Charlatan known as John Berardi.  Read on:

daYDreAmErX
ol it gives me 4100 calories and I'm a 135 lbs female

wobemaster
The reccomendations are ridiculous, no-one needs that amount of protein let alone that level of calories.
Of course you're going to gain weight on that sort of a diet, but with how much fat?.. there comes a point when adding more calories isn't going to do anything else for adding muscle mass.

namtrag
I put in light desk job (true)
30 minutes of weight training (true)
Left out the 30 minutes of cardio I do 3-4 times a week.
3800 calories, what a farce! Believe me, I would love to be able to eat that much, but I am already 30lbs too heavy. Last time I ate that much I just got fat. (yes clean calories, yes high protein)

icery
berardi sucks. he is and always has been full of ****
he got his 25/cal a lb for bulking by using something off a research paper apparently. great, but his problem is he can't interpret research properly at all and most will get fat as hell eating the amount of calories his calc recommends
same thing happened with his seperating carbs and fat thing. ended up being totally wrong

Sarge Jones
same thing happened with his seperating carbs and fat thing. ended up being totally wrong
I also love how he says his little company makes nutrition easy for people. Um, having to cook all day and eating over 500 g of protein isn't easy last time I heard. I saw some samples of the diets he puts people on, and he has somebody drinking like 8-10 scoops of whey powder PER DAY.

Here's where I differ (or maybe not and it's just assumed in your argument) in regards to preserving muscle while losing fat. Not only is adequate protein required, which you reasonably address, I think resistance training is absolutely essential. You have to give your body a reason to hold on to muscle. There's a reason why it's so hard to build muscle. There's a reason why your body will put an absolute limit to how much muscle you can attain. Not so with fat where virtually everyone has the capacity to store so much fat as to deform the human form. Not possible naturally with muscle and even with drugs and peptides and great effort you still can't achieve the level of deformation that the morbidly obese can. There is a metabolic cost to muscle. Even at rest it require blood supply, nutrients.... Fat is just stored energy which from your body's perspective is always a good thing. Give your body the slightest reason it will drop the muscle. When your leg is in a cast you don't lose fat but the muscle quickly disappears. On a caloric deficit your body is going to start fighting you. Something has changed and it thinks it may be going into a period of starvation and wants to preserve calories. It's much more efficient to drop the unneeded and calorie draining muscle than to drop fat. Resistance training gives your body the signal that it needs to hold on to that muscle.

Pictures of Jezebelle in a garden. Bliss. Pure bliss.
