This has been discussed before....

I will give my personal view on this as a legal immigrant in the US.


While in the US I would NEVER put up another flag Higher than the American flag...  Actually I would NEVER put up another flag period, unless its an embassy or a foreign consulate or a diplomatic location, or international ground....  there is no need for that.  Doesn't mean I'm not prideful of my heritage, I just consider it to be a sign of a disrespect. 
I consider it a privilage to be granted the opportunity to live in the US, I'm not gonna turn around and slap it in the face by doing something disrespectful as raising the flag of my country on American soil! IMO thats not right!


On the other hand I think that redneck's action was wrong in ripping down the flag, thats not his property, and technically the owners can go report him for vandalism and theft! 
What are we animals?  We're civilized human beings, go inside and ask the owner to take down the flag and and tell them your reasons.  If the owners are dicks and dont want to do it, then leave never come back to this store and tell everyone you know not to go back to that store!

I really do believe this though, I love my home country Egypt, I always will, but I've gained so much by being in the US that I can't ever take i for granted, especially that i've seen how it is overseas.

If you own a business you should have the right to fly the flag of any country you want. If people don't like it they should boycott the business. I agree with Arch that it's disrespectful. But I don't want it to be a matter for law enforcement. Just like here in Hawaii it's illegal for a business to allow smoking in bars and restaurants.
