Well I do see your point but I have to disagree here.

Not there's any more truth to adam and eve than shapeshifting but at least judaism and christianity have plagued us for several thousand years and are an integral part of our culture. It's much easier to convince yourself to be a christian for example since it's the norm than to be a believer of the reptilian theory which is brand spanking new compared to christianity. You won't find a lot of people in your close vicinity to be believers in the reptilian theory and you're therefore way less likely to be influenced by friends and parents to believe in it.

So if you choose to believe in reptilians you've basically made the crackpot decision on your own. I'd say it takes way more delusion to be in favor of the reptilian theory rather than christianity.

But make no mistake, it all stems from the same irrationality.
