Does Mel feel he was an odd choice to hand out trophies as Jr. NATS?
Seeing as he is somewhat a nobody in the industry, whos only hype is that he's the former prez of the Hell's Angels?

Only an industry like bodybuilding would find value in someone who back in the day, used to ride with others using strong arm tactics to imtimidate people., yet has accomplished very little real merit in the bodybuilding world or day to day life.

Knowing and notable have two very different definitions. I think my question stands relevant. He has no outstanding accomplishments within the bodybuilding world.

If you mean he hasn't won any national level shows... or gotten a pro card, then no, he hasn't. But, as you know, on OFF TOPIC Radio we aren't necessarily looking for Bodybuilding champs... but for interesting PEOPLE, who are involved in BBing.

When I was 16, Mel trained at the same gym...10 years ago.
He was and still is a huge somewhat ripped mofo.
He is very well known in the bodybuilding scene...Chicago atleast....so by these standards he is very well qualified to just hand out a trophy.

As far as your other comments....none of my business because it's quite obvious that bodybuilding is full of shady people. I mean how can you have a top Olympia competitor who effs grapefruits? hahahahah christ
