Why should GM have been bailed out? Ford took their own steps to rectify their situation long before the recession hit and that's why they're killing it now. Why did we reward GM for being too fucking stupid to do that? How long until they fall right back into the same pattern and do it again?

you are WAY over the top..240 is right....Obama took over GM when they were about to go under like the Titanic.....he basically saved that company from bankruptcy and saved thousands of jobs.....plus the gov't (us) made money on the interest paid by GM for the bailout....GM is now poised to have a great future if they can get their act together and design some decent cars.....Obama kicked out the CEO's who presided over a ruined company and who could not turn the company around....had he not done so, there would be no GM today....and thousands would have lost their jobs.....

Give Obama credit for WHAT? They're still in the red and the economy hasn't improved one bit by bailing out GM. This is America. If your product is good, you make money. If your product sucks, you go out of business. That's how it works.
