Rings shouldn't even really count as MMA though,  Overeem's can older brother tapped Randy in Rings.  Their rules were fucked.  I would have liked to see Arona v. Fedor under Pride rules.

I agree that brock is overhyped, But the HW lack talent and rely too much one punch drunk knockout than actuall technique and dominant skills.  i like fedor, but hate how he (even strikeforce said it many times) is considered the god of MMA

You're absolutely right, he made a white belt mistake against a top jiu jitsu guy... he jumped the gun and got pulled into a triangle.. You would think someone of Fedor's level and experience would know to look out for a triangle, esp. since he beat the old Nog twice...it sucks, but that's life.. like someone else said he will most likely rematch, annihilate werdum and retire (considering he has one fight left)

The funny thing is no one else in MMA is criticized as hard as Fedor, you see other guys losing 2,3 fights in a row all the time (GSP, Penn, Franklin, Silva) and people still consider them the greatest, but Fedor loses one and all of a sudden he's dropped to last place in the heavyweight rankings... fucked up

It's been a year of upsets anyways,  I wouldn't be surprised if Carwin KO's Lesner and Overeem loses before the year is out.  I would still like to see Overeem, Barnett, and Fedor in the UFC.

fedor is regarded in that manner because there is no one else in the HW division....the ones that are worth it aren't marketable(carwin)......hell fedor is only marketable because of his record....he wont even have that now...his fan base took a big hit tonight...

another example is Miguel torres, before he lost his belt he had a perfect record, And now is exposed that his  big weakness for not being able to take and recover from any punch to the chin.  guys like nick diaz should be considered the best for being able to fight smart at any conditions wither hurt or in a inferior position

Nick Diaz's biggest issue is that he fights to the level of his comp.  He fought brilliant fights against Gomi and Frank Shamrock but looked like shit against Mike Aina in a split decision.  As long as Nick thinks he's challenged he does well,  he seems to have motivational issues with "gimme" opponents.
