I like English wrestlers better

In watching TNA, they're the only ones who do the catch as catch can style. Maybe I'm in a minority, but I find this more interesting than the Mexican jumping bean style.

Billy Robinson
Ted Betley
Bill Riley (and family)
Jack Foley
Dave Finlay
Steven Regal
See a pattern?

All of the above were very good mat workers in the English style.
Tom & Davey evolved their style of working by incorporating the best of Mexican, Japanese, and North American moves along with what they learned back home.

Dynamite also came up with some very cool stuff, himself.
I think his time spent in Japan, especially, benefited the wrestling industry as a whole by introducing a new direction that has evolved even further since that time!

Never a huge Davey Boy fan, but when Dynamite first came to the WWE, I thought he was the most exciting wrestler in the world. As I said in another thread, he was in a team with Bret Hart and made Bret look like nothing.

The guy in TNA I'm talking about is Doug Williams. He's doing an angle about bringing wrestling back to basics: hold counterhold, and he's dissing all the high flyers. It's pretty original and he has the skills to make it work.

Desmond Wolfe also had a good catch wrestling match with Angle. Nothing like that in the WWE right now.

I'm interested in seeing Wade Barret wrestle. He looks like he is well schooled in the ring.
